Since there's a thread discussing the Madden ratings, I figured why not start a topic about what they're thinking in Vegas...

I'm surprised how high the Colts are being ranked in this. Only way they get to the SB is by getting the #1 seed in the AFC, so they can have homefield advantage, where I doubt anyone would be able to beat them. And they're going to have to win probably 14 games to do that, and that's going to be hard when they can't seem to sweep Jacksonville, never win in Foxboro, and historically always lose to Pittsburgh.

i agree with most of the rankings, but i also agree the colts are higher than i thought they'd be...i could easily see pitt or baltimore having better records then them along with NE.

odds are simply based on who's putting money towards who. if someone decided to put 1,000 $100 bets on the houston texans, they'd have the lowest odds.

Baltimore? Doubt it. Every off-season they're the paper champions, then they don't even make the playoffs. Boller is still the QB. People are over-rating Derrick Mason. Sure he beats any WR they've had there in years, but he's not an elite WR, and he doesn't score many TDs. Mark Clayton is an unknown, plus he's already had hamstring problems. Trash Heap is alright, but their passing game is still pretty pathetic. Jamal Lewis, even when he was healthy and playing last year, was not nearly as good as 2003. His yard/carry dropped a whole yard last year. Odgen isn't the same player he used to be either. The defense will still be good, especially against the run, but I expect quite a few QB's to tear up that 46 defense, including Manning on opening weekend.

to a point i agree...i live here and hate the fans...boller is awful, and will never be better. but he was at least managing fans more adequately towards the end of the last season. can he get worse? i don't buy in to pittsburgh and the bengals are the same every year, hype and underacheiving. i could see any one of those teams pulling it together and making a run, i just pick the ravens because they seemed to have things clicking better at the end of the year.

I dont wanna sound like a dumbass, but I got a gut feeling about the Saints. I dont know why, I'm not even a fan. But it seems like its their time.

patriots are still the team to beat. everyone is over-estimating what crennel and weis meant to the offense and defense. bellichek has always been the one in control and as long as he's on top of his game, they're among the super elite.

Yeah, they actually have a decent O-line this year, and Alex Smith ain't bad. They probably get 4-6 wins, which puts them in place for another good draft pick.
Not quite the glory days of the 80's and 90's though

Colts at the top spot? Booo.
What are everyone's Super Bowl predictions?
I'm gonna have to go with:
Jacksonville vs Minnesota
The Jags taking it.
