I will be interviewing the guys of All-American Rejects (http://www.allamericanrejects.com/splash-release_week.html) next week. Leave any questions you have for them in the replies and I will do my best to get them answered. The new album "Move Along" is in stores now.

I notice the Rejects are going to Japan on tour, as many other bands are doing these days. Generally, the average person does not think of an international "scene" existing far beyond western Europe, so I will ask them, how is the "scene" in countries such as Japan in comparison to ours, and how do international fans receive bands such as themselves?
Ask... How they felt when their label made them scrap the "darker" cd that they made. And if they'll ever release any of it.

pretty much what i was going to ask...any resentment? also, how did it feel having to consciouly write a 'poppier' cd.
Also, since this is the first album with all 4 members...how was the writing process different than before.
aar intrigues me aparently.

pretty much same question i have...
how does it feel to have signed a contract that allows your major label the ability to make you re-write an album because your first one was not commercial enough?
do you regret signing that contract now, or does the big cash outweigh the creative sacrifice?

please don't pussyfoot around the issue of them re-writing their album because the label told them too...i REALLY want to hear what they have to say, see what excuse they make. I don't know how you can be happy when the industry has you by the balls like that.
good luck!

what would you say the best album of 2005 has been so far?
what bands are you listening to right now?
is it true the second guitar player and drummer you hired really hate the bands music, and only do it for the money?

What are their plans for the fall? I noticed that they were doing a tour of japan but any dates here in the states in the fall and if so with whom?

original post: post potential questions for the aar during an interview
ap kids: let's post our own questions to ourselves and then let's answer them
the best albums are alkaline trio, nine inch nails, millencolin, and reel big fish (not in any particular order)
and to this slade fellow.... try compacting your opinions, predictions, and physical humor into one post. every time i see trey parker, i get gas.

Mae-the everglow is the cheesiest release of the year, sorry guys. that lame ass intro 'please turn the page at the tone' crap is so stupid
the piano song afterward is the most de-clawed and safe sappy as shit ever
the ocean DOES NOT need the fucking WAVES! it MAKES THE WAVES along w/ tides, currents, the moon and gravity.
the academy is...is a great debut
over it was indeed a huge letdown. this place hyped that WAY too much. standard boring pop punk except for 'waiting' which is a great song.

What was different about writing and recording "Move On" as a full band, rather than your debut, which was recorded by two guys with a drum machine?

Ask Tyson if he has lots of stretch marks from losing 900 lbs., and if he has lots of excess skin hanging off his body. Do it. Do it.

Absolutely cannot put this album down...and I don't plan on trying to anytime soon either.
People need to layoff the image trip when it comes to the band and the album artwork. Yeah its a little pretentious and lame to put yourselves on the cover but who gives a fuck if the music is still something you like. Would a gigantic dildo on the cover of a Brand New album turn anyone away, or would anyone even say anything?
I dont know much about Tyson's eating habits but yeah he's skinny, just like I am. I eat all the fucking time and can't gain a pound so it kinda irks me when people get all nosy about accusing people of eating disorders. This is more a real world gripe than music related but how is it acceptable that people I come across on a day to day basis can come up to me and call me skinny or comment on how I dont weigh very much and not worry about being PC but would never walk up to someone they barely know and call them a fat ass?
