Luckies! I can't get tattoos. I have a skin condition where if I get tattoos or piercings, there's a very high and good chance that scar tissue will develop under/around it and disfigure me. So, yeah no tattoos for me now, even though I was going to get one.

go for something that you like and only get a tatt for a reason. the image doesn't have to be meaningful if there is meaning behind your decision to get one.

Yeah I know. Everything is overdone. Everyone has stars, hearts, flowers, ALK3,etc.
I wanted the Claddagh ring design because every year since I was 13 my mom and grandma have bought me a ring or a necklace for either Christmas or my birthday. And I figured if I did get the design people would think I'm Irish, which I'm not, so I decided to change it up a bit.
But yeah, I can't get it now.

Which even though it'd mean something to me, it'd probably be a good idea that I'm not able to get it when I'm like 70...

its a tiny little symbol my cousin drew for me. nothing huge and out of control...just simple..but it means a lot...cuse my cousin passed shortly after he drew it for me. Me and him were always pretty close...we were more like brother and sister than cousins...So once he passed, that was the first thing I did....but it wasnt my first tat...i had 2 before that. A Greek design on my lower back, and a cross on my hip. and like I said, im gonna get Sister in Polish on my wrist....at least I want to. Still a little scared about that one.

i think I might have to write on my wrist and just walk around with it, see if I like it being that out in the open lol. i might look like a dope, but hey....i dont wanna mess up and have it be there forever and hate it lol. Even though the meaning is awesome(to me at least)

I'm really not worried about the pain involved in getting a tattoo, but I was just curious if that part of your arm was any different, because I've heard it's almost the most painful spot on your body to get ink.

You could do sister on one wrist, and then the initials on the other, both in the same style/font and it would look very nice. My friend from work used to have similar kanji on both his inner wrists and I always liked them.

yeah that sight is awesome....but I kinda wanted to stick to one wrist.....just cuse with the job I have/will be getting in the near future(my current job, and than when I graduate college next year), tattoos arent allowed to be shown..so covering up one wrist is a lot easier than both....but it is a cool idea..thanks

I was scared as hell when I went in, but it didn't hurt nearly as bad as I expected. I heard that the wrist and ankle were the most painful spots. The part that hurt the worst was after I got the tattoo. It felt like the worst sunburn you can imagine and my arm got so swollen it was almost 2xs it's normal size.
I don't know if the inside of the arm is any worse than any other part, because so far that's my only tattoo.

lemme tell you, the back of the neck doesnt feel so hott either. My other 2 really didnt hurt much at all...but the one on my neck....nothing id cry over...but it definatly hurt. But I can see why the wrist, and ankle can hurt...no fat. And the skin underneath your arm...sheesh. Yeah I could see how it could get that much bigger. But ah well, its all worth it.

if the initials are any of the letters in the polish tattoo you want, maybe figure out some way to link them together.

Like someone else said, my dad basically said he would disown us if anyone came home with a tattoo. He tells this story of how he was drunk and almost got a tattoo one time and it wouldve been the biggest mistake of his life.

But of course my brother got a tattoo around last november and got it on the upper left portion of his back so with winter, no one would notice. i guess he always had a towel over his shower when he came out of the bathroom after a shower. so finally summer rolled around and he realized if he was going to use our pool, we'd have to find out so he just told all of us and guess what he got?
