Movie Recommendation Of the Weekend

I highly recommend Wedding Crashers. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

funniest movie i've seen this year. hands down.

bad points:
1) i know it's a comedy...but there are terrible inconsistencies in the plot, not going to point them out...but you'll know them when you see them.
2) too long...a few scenes could've gotten the axe.
3) didn't use Christopher Walken to his full capability.

good points:
1) everything else.

Vince Vaughn just kills in this movie...go see it immediately.

I laughed my ass off .. they could have cut a few things (Owen's fall from grace) but I still was dying the whole time.

this summer is kicking my ass. i work way too much. movies i want to see, but have no time for: batman, war of the worlds, fantastic 4, wedding crashers, charlie and the chocolate factory and whatever comes out for the rest of the summer. boo.

It was wonderful...Vince and Owen did a great job it was hilarious...and Will Ferrel...his name says enough lol. I kinda wish he had had a bigger role though.

I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. I saw Charlie last night, and it was brilliant...You can't go wrong when Johnny Depp and Tim Burton work together.

I almost peed myself when Will Ferrell came out..."What...the fuck...do you want?" That character couldn't have been delivered any better. Everyone should see this movie, definitely.

Vince Vaughn is hands-down the greatest improv actor. The man has a chokehold on comic delivert and you have to love his lingo. NO ONE BETTER THAN VAUGHNY!

i wasn't gonna mention the will ferrell cameo, but since it's already been spoiled, i'd like to nominate him for funniest thing in the movie. wasn't quite as good as some of the better comedies from last year (anchorman, harold and kumar, garden state), but so far it's the best comedy of the year. i hope the 40 year old virgin tops it though. what did everyone think of the gay emo kid? definitely made for some of the funnier moments of the movie ( "he's a homo")

chocolate factory = i was really psyched for this movie... but i was *really* disappointed.
... i was just glad my friend had free passes so we didn't waste our money...
and i tried really hard to like it... it just... blah. lacked something.

sorry for taking so long to respond jason and tj in regards to my statement about parts being inconsistent...

just off the top of my head
1) when owen wilson falls into depression and holes himself up. vince vaughn comes around they haven't seen each other in forever, etc. Well throughout the movie owen appears to work with vince, so it doesn't really make sense for them to not see each other anymore (for like months at a time).

(and if you respond to that..."maybe he stopped going into work," well that could be, but he still goes to weddings, etc. so it seems likely he would still work a bit.)

2) the jerk boyfriend...
it's somewhat implausible that he would just decide that there was a secret with owen and vince...and the means he goes about finding is ridiculous. how can the friend he calls find out the whole life story of two people from two fake names? how could he possibly know they crash weddings?

3) gloria (vince's love interest)... this "psycho" character fit when the audience thought she really was a virgin. gloria was hiliarious but didn't really make a whole lot of sense.

there were one or two more but i can't really remember what they were.

none of these were even close to being dealbreakers for me in regards to the movie, however.
it's the funniest movie of the year and sure to be a huge hit.

one thing i thought you were gonna say was the fact that they were pretending to be part of the family, so why would claire fall for someone she was related to...but if you go back to the beginning at their sister's wedding, when the relative comes and talks to them he asks them "How do you know the groom?"

and the weddings thing for #1...pretty sure he doesnt pay...thats the whole point of crashing them

and not sure what doesn't make sense about gloria...she's fuckin hot what an awesome girlfriend to have (and scary at the same time lol)
