What record/song puts you in a place back in your childhood or in a scene that happened back in your life. Sort of hard to explain, but I'll give a few examples of mine:
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979 makes me visualize when my mom would drive me to school when i was in the 4th grade or so, it seemed to come on alot on the morning radio, and i love that song, got me into the Pumpkins.
Eric Clapton - The record "Cream of Clapton" makes me always think of when I'd put it on and play Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on my N64.
I'll add some more when/if I think of them.

Mest's "Drawing Board" reminds me of the first girl that I had a crush on that I would only see in the summer when I went down the shore. :(

it's from an episode of stella.
those aren't garbage lyrics. i was just saying since you compared garbage=garbage i'd quote stella and compare funk rock with funk rock

haha ok
I think just about every CD that I've listened to multiple times conjures up some sort of memory associated with the time I was listening to it.

usually when i'm driving, scenery will remind me of certain cds. there's one spot on a drive i do pretty often where there's a barn off in the distance. every time i see that barn it reminds me of the building part in delerium trigger before the chorus.

this might be a little off topic but what about songs on video games. like whenever i hear american idiot i think of playing madden. and ive been playin a lot of MLB lately so whenevr i hear the bravery's honest mistake i think of that. anyone else ever hear a song and find themselves remebering a game? or am i the only nerd.

SoCo's Leaving Through To Window. First time I listened to it, I was on a trip with friends, and we were crossing the Mississippi River as Andrew was singing "I Woke Up In A Car" so yeah...that was many many years ago, but everytime I hear that song/cd it reminds me of that trip.

Goo Goo Dolls-Gutterflower reminds me of my class trip to Poland, because I bought it in a little CD shop there and then listened to it for a lot of the home journey.

Such Great Heights by the Postal Service and Bowl of Oranges by Bright eyes - I can't ever listen to them without thinking of me and my ex boyfriend in his car. I hate it because I loved those songs and now it feels like they've sort of been ruined for me.
Happy Nation by Ace of Base... reminds me of me and my mom in Germany. We'd always dance to the song together.... because I'd always get so hyper when I'd listen to it. I was about 7.

"Deer Dance" by System of a Down reminds me of my first real intense make-out session. And my first touch of a bare boobie.

Haha i know. I think I the group (of couples) were just chilling in someone's basement listening to Toxicity, cause that CD was cool then, and that song just happened to be on then. It was nuts.

Enema of the state reminds me of when i used to hang round with these girls who are now very lame.
Eudora and specifically Close to me, regret and central standard time by the get up kids reminds me of new years eve 03 (in the daytime) when i went to a friends and we played NHL 93 on the sega mega drive for hours like losers and loved it all (With TGUK in the background).
Your favourite weapon by brand new and mainly last chance to lose your keys and 70 x 7 reminds me of some lame stuff involving a girl.
But Angel youth by last days of april will almost definitely in a few months remind me of good stuff involving a girl.

Senses Fail's EP, i forget what it's called, reminds me of the winter of my freshman year of HS and the huge crush I developed on a junior girl (who I just happen to work with now, almost 3 years later) after we talked about music one day for like 2 hours while waiting to take our next exam. Senses Fail was one thing we really agreed on (yes, i realize they suck)
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
.

Enema of the State reminds me of a trip to Colorado for the millenium new years.
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket reminds me of a houseboat trip with my best friend after 9th grade.
Transatlanticism reminds me of New Year's Eve a couple years ago when I went to Disneyland with the girl I had a huge crush on (now my girlfriend) and some friends. Actually....just the first song, "The New Year" does. The rest reminds me of going to Claim Jumper last summer a lot.
Interventions and Lullabyes reminds me of last summer and going to bonfires.
Emanuel and Receiving End of Sirens remind me of driving home from school this year by myself when it was really sunny out in April and May.
There are a ton others but those were just the first ones I could think of off the top of my head.
