Ahh I hate those shows where they actually show the surgery, makes me sick.

I was looking into it last year because I lost 75 pounds and have alot of extra skin around my stomach. I would have a nice sixer but the skin will always make me look alittl pudgy. It is getting worse with age too. I had an appointment for a conultation, had to get it about 6 months in advance, but then I cancelled it. I just thought the risk was too high for a cosmetic issue. But now that my skin is getting worse, I am thinking about it again. Research everywhere for the most reputible plastic surgeon and consult your doctor. From the research I did, if you are young and in good shape and have extra skin from weight loss and don't need a huge incision, the surgery has excellent results and your recovery is quicker.

yeah i went for a consultatin yesterday. i've lost 85 lbs since I was a senior in highschool and no matter how much i run or how many abs i do the skin has lost its elasticity. I have to decide by Wed. if i'm going to get it done.

Cost is an issue but i think i can manage that, and the scar does not bother me as much because it's below the pants line, and is basically a trade off for a flat stomach. What I'm worried about is that doing it will not fix your sides and lower back. It might improve it, but doesn't fix it. In the end you really don't know what to expect.

Congratulations that is awesome. That is about the same time I started to lose my weight, don't you wish you did it at a younger age before we scared our bodies. It pisses me off everyday. Cost was also an issue for me, but the anasthesia and the fact that it could go wrong and turn out bad was too much for me. I still think I could work alittle harder and do a few more abs and it will turn out better. I think alot of it is mental too, I am sure it doesn't look as bad as we think it does. I guess I am speaking for you too much, but I am sure we are in the same boat. There is also something called a mini tummy tuck. You may be a canditate for that. The incision is bellow the naval and it is basically an outpatient procedure. Costs about half as much also, but I am sure if you already had your consultation you would have heard about this. Good luck with your decision, I know if I got it it would change my life immensly and give me so much more confidence to take my shirt off whenever I wanted to.
