Yes I know I am late to this party, but I grew really sick of the music in "our scene" and needed a change. So I picked up a "The Essential Clash" used off amazon for 10 bucks and needless to say, I am blown away and strongly recommend them to anyone who has heard of them but not heard them. I will def be picking up a few of the full albums after getting a good taste of what they bring. I had no idea they sounded like this, so many different genres fused into one. Next up - The Ramones. My early punk education continues.

My dad used to listen to the Clash (Black Market Cash tape cassette, which shows how long ago that was) in the car on the way to school, when I was a teeny kid, and I still remember singing along with my dad... I like the clash for nostalgic reasons mostly, but I still listen to them pretty often anyway, I agree with brianthomas, there are so many types of music, everyone can like them for something or other.
