I don't have my music file here, is there a way to put more songs in it without having to replace the whole library? if not...ipods suck... i really need to add more music

i'm not entirely sure if this is what you're looking for, but there's something called the "ipod agent", which lets you manage the files from your ipod to the computer and you can transfer them that way. i haven't tried it but this looked like the most reputable thing when i searched on google. i hope this helps...i posted the link here...

i was wondering the same thing.

basically, whatever is in your iTunes library is what's on your iPod. so she's wondering what would happen if she plugged her iPod into this new computer. since it doesn't have any of her songs on it, then theoretically all the songs on her iPod would be deleted.

i'd like this question answered too.

sorry. but thats just not true

i went through the same thing. got a new computer and had to transfer the files

OPTIONS:

1. Download CopyPod...you can find it on most iPod sites (iPod Hacks, i think is a good site)...it can copy songs from your iPod to a specific folder...It works pretty well, but unless you want to buy the software, you can only do 100 songs at a time (i just downloaded it, uninstalled, downloaded it, uninstalled, and so on)

2. Burn a CD straight from the iPod with songs on it...i heard a rumor about doing this, but not so sure if it works...using your iPod as a harddrive, then if you have a CD burner, burn a data CD with the songs on it, then upload the CD to your computer....again, im not sure if this works, i just heard about one of my friends doing it...not sure what the outcome was

3. Call Apple...they should be able to help if your still under contract

...Your Welcome...

yeah thing is with a new computer I don't have all my songs in the library, they're all on the ipod but if I were to add something all my songs would be replaced. Anyway, the ipod agent worked perfectly, now I have aaaall my songs in the computer, thanks for the other methods, i'll use them when the trial expires, thanks a lot guys

all you have to do is change the options so that the songs manually update, so that you iPod and your new library don't sync up, hence deleting all your songs on your iPod because you have nothing in your library. Then all you have to do is add whatever new songs you get into your library, and manually drag them to your iPod

no new software needed
