My computer is currently in California being repaired (stupid busted power supply) but there are some scattered things that I've been listening to.

First off, if you missed the news post, please go listen to I'll Beat You Up (www.myspace.com/illbeatyouup) for some educational hardcore.

If by some strange, odd reason, you missed the new Comeback Kid (http://purevolume.com/comebackkid) record - go do yourself a favor and pick it up.

I haven't said anything in a while, but don't forget about The Apprentice (http://www.myspace.com/theapprentice). It's still getting tons of play in my car and cd player...It's an incredible concept album, the music is really varied, and..yeah. Check it out for yourself at their myspace page (link above) but if you like what you hear, do yourself a favor and buy the whole thing - it's better in it's entirety.

So after listening to the new Emery (http://www.emerymusic.com) album, in it's entirety, time and time again, I think I can safely say that it's a better album than their last release. Overall, it seems to be quicker, catchier, and yet still more challenging than The Weak's End. I have never been a gigantic fan of the band, but The Question has sold me on Emery, so make sure you pick up this album August 2nd, or just give it a shot - I know it made a new fan out of me. This is how a vocal barrage and a wall of sound SHOULD sound...

The new Anatomy of a Ghost demos they recorded with Casey Bates have definitely caught my ear. Old fans will be pleased while some new fans may be made...

God, that new Coheed and Cambria (http://www.coheedandcambria.com) song is fucking amazing.

A Wilhelm Scream (http://www.awilhelmscream.com) is punk rawk the way it should be played. Killer album and even more amazing artwork...

Hey Mercedes - Get back together? Please?

The Letters Organize (http://www.purevolume.com/thelettersorganize) - Raw, fast, hard, and honest. Reminds me of The Bronx but a touch more polished. I love it.

Go see Wedding Crashers. Vince Vaughn is a hilarious man.

Did you build it yourself or was it store bought? and is it powerful enough to play Battlefield 2?

God, that new Coheed and Cambria (http://www.coheedandcambria.com) song is fucking amazing.

Yes it is.

about Hey Mercedes I completely agree Scott.

I always rock out to them when my ipod tosses them on. 11 to your 7.

On a side note, I have been enjoying Robert Nanna's solo project The CIty On Film. I recommend checking that out!

Here's my thoughts on those particular ones.

The new Coheed song is fucking amazing.

Hey Mercedes DOES need to get back together.

While Emery is awesome, I sense a bit of a hit at TREOS there... and since their basically one of my favorite albums this year I resent that :) to each his own. I'd like to know why you think it sounds cluttered(minus Broadcast Quality you said)

Comeback Kid (http://purevolume.com/comebackkid) / A Wilhelm Scream

Both real good albums.

Emery

I thought their first album was pretty mediocre but with a lot of potential, maybe they'll deliver here.

[B]Hey Mercedes - Get back together? Please?

Maybe, since Nanna's gotta exhaust himself of solo songwriting ideas eventually. Dude is already putting out a split with Minus The Bear on Polyvinyl in August and an additional EP that same month. He doesn't stop.

[URL=http://www.purevolume.com/thelettersorganize]The Letters Organize (http://www.awilhelmscream.com)

Also a good album.

I don't need to explain why it's cluttered again, i think I spent about 2 paragraphs doing that in my review (which is now buried in the old reviews system....awesome. I still have to transfer those over, but I can't sort by my personal reviews because there's some sort of glitch, and the hard copies of my reviews are sitting on my hard drive, which is in California with my computer, getting repaired. Lame.)Who is this Coheed you speak of Scott?

Look in the news. There's a new song up for download at www.cobaltandcalcium.com or I believe at burningstariv.com.

I'll review AWS today or tommorow.
