While you can always check on my recently resurrected Audioscrobbler (http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/rem6775/) page to check out what I'm listening to, here's some stuff you shouldn't miss:
Sufjan Stevens (http://www.sufjan.com) - Illinois. Yeah, this album has been getting a lot of attention, but it's for good reason: it's really good, so go check it out. Now.
Odd Nosdam (http://www.anticon.com/oddnosdam.html) - Burner. I guess a lot of people classify this as somewhat hiphop/rap influenced or whatnot, but don't get the wrong impression. Odd Nosdam is extremely talented at mixing lo-fi and hi-fi sounds together in ways that cover everything. This isn't rap...it's more a mixture of ambience, droning and plenty of indie influences. That's a terrible description, huh? Yeah, just check it out.
Amusement Parks on Fire (http://www.amusementparksonfire.com) - Amusement Parks on Fire. So you like My Bloody Valentine, right? Well so did these guys. Pretty awesome.
Esmerine (http://www.esmerine.com) - Aurora is good, although I still prefer Godspeed, this is a little less dramatic.
Kinski (http://www.kinski.net) - Alpine Static. You should check these guys out if you didn't read my review (http://www.absolutepunk.net/reviews.php?action=viewarticle&artid=192) for it already.
