yeah the point is to give the ipods to your friends. and yeah, 500 million dollars worth of profit from that is insane. I am going to start charging everyone a dollar for every megabyte worth of bandwith they use from my site per month haha. :-/

I'm sure they have to pay the artist a percentage for being able to use the song.. not to mention the bandwidth used to send the song. It's still a good portion of profit though.

honestly, I felt the same way before I actually got one. And since all I do is work and eat and sleep nowadays, it's become my best friend. The 20G one is well worth it. As far as iTunes goes, I have no idea...I have not bought one song off iTunes, and I don't plan to. But anyway, yea dude. Get an iPod.

I've used itunes a few times for CDs that I can't find in Best Buy or any local store. I think I've purchased Satori, Littlest Man Band, and a Jimmy Eat World EP. It comes in handy every once in a while, though it would be better if they carried smaller bands' music too.

Itunes is the program of choice for college students mainly because you can use it like a p2p program and download any song off anyone with a plugin for free really fast and not get caught...
