what band do you think is the best band live, like do they have the same sound quality as their cd and do they have stage presence?

ill have to go with less than jake. ive seen them twice, both have perfect sound and they move around and throw stuff into the crowd.

what about you?

I really like Armor For Sleep's sound live. Ben sounds alot better now than in past times I've seen the band.

3 was amazing live. You really can't tell how talented these guys are until you see their live show.

just a couple that come to mind off the bat.

I agree, three had an excellent sound.

Slayer puts on an amazing live show if you ever get a chance to see them DO IT. Same with Soulfly. Just don't buy a shirt at the show, the each charge 35 bucks... fuck that.

umm, Chiodos was really amazing last night on that CBGB stream.

of course GlassJAw is excellent live, as well as Brand New.

but i don't think anyone could put on a better live performance than John Mayer. if you don't believe me, go get the Any Given Thursday DVD and eat my shorts.

Mogwai
Dredg

my two personal favorites

i haven't seen mogwai live (yet) but dredg was spot on!

Something Corporate is awesome. Andrew goes nuts, and they always have awesome set lists. Green Day is another band that I think just owns playing live. hmmm who else. Death Cab was AMAZING live also....awesome stage presence Mr. Gibbard has....there are a ton more..just cant think..

Mates of State is really good live. So are Limbeck. Say Anything was really good last time I saw them, but the first time I saw them live they weren't that good. Ted Leo is also really good live and band/solo project that Jonah Matranga is in is good live (gratitude, onelinedrawing).

oh, i saw them 3-4 times after that show and they didn't do half of the stuff they did then. They were throwing out stickers, posters, they had the dancing bear, skull guy, 2 or 3 other people on costumes, they had a fire breather etc etc etc.

My personal favorites would be Thursday, Gatsby's American Dream, SOCO, and outside of the "punk" genre, Switchfoot and John Mayer were both awesome when I saw them.

Yellowcard is good live. I saw em 2 years ago at Warped on one of the smaller stages, and it was nuts

Thursday

I disagree. I think Geoff has a terrible voice which doesn't sound that good live. I mean, they have tons of energy, and the rest of the band sounds really good, but Geoff just can't sing

i think thursday is great live, too. they are one of few bands that are just as good from the back as they are from the front. no matter what, they can keep me captivated.

- with honor is dead on live. so good.
- the loved ones sounded amazing when i saw them.
- the get up kids were unbelievable.
- minus the bear sounds really great, and their shows are so much fun.

race the sun doesn't sound that good live, but they have amazing energy and make me the happiest person ever.

i don't know, i like a lot of bands live.

Well I've been on tour with Genghis Tron for the past week and a half or so, but last night we got in an accident and our van and trailer flipped over. Luckily everyone is fine, but I'll be coming home soon. I'll post some of the br0000tal pics we took soon. Flipping in a car is something I'll never ever forget.
