Does anyone out there watch this show? Seems to be the love of critics everywhere, and I searched the entertainment forum and I personally didn't find anything. Feel free to lock this thread if I somehow missed something.

I don't know if you missed one or not, but this probably my favorite show on air. Just watch both seasons last month.

I'm halfway through season one, and I enjoy parts, but I'm having a hard time really getting excited to watch it. I think Jon Hamm is fantastic, and I love the look of it, but i HATE every character on the show. They are all assholes or idiots or whores. But part of me thinks that's the point, that everyone was so arrogant and thought they lived this great life when really it was disgusting.

Agreed

I watched the first season this week and the clothes and scenery are the best part of the show.

I watched the first 3 eps. over break of S1 and couldn't get into it. Should I keep going?

Definitely. It's such a character-development based show that it does take a while to get into. So many great quotes and watching Don Draper flat out own makes it worth it.

Weird. I just watched episode one and it's pretty good so far.

Agreed

I watched the entire first season last week and the only thing that keeps me watching is the scenery and clothes. And January Jones gets under my skin.

January Jones looks really good - and actually kind of intrigues to see if she is going to get smart or just be a caricature stepford wife.

But now its hard to watch her because I figured out where else I have seen her before. She was the sister Stiffler and Shitbreak were fighting over in American Wedding, so I spent the last episode with the image of her milking a cat in my head.

I've heard great things just haven't had a chance to watch it. Supposed to be a great show though. Can't wait to start

So it's just because it's Season 1? I imagine Season 2 picks it up, because I first heard about this show like mid 2008 - when the second season was going on (im guessing).

More is definitely going on in season two, but I think it's just once you get to know the characters, season one is really great too.

Finally caught an episode I thoroughly enjoyed. Jon Hamm takes over in the episode where he pitches the lipstick copy to the company, and SO MUCH happens/is uncovered in that episode. That was the episode I was waiting for.
