Billy Bob Thorton was good in Bad Santa but it was rated R. Now he is with a ton of kids and rated pg 13, i think the only thing that will be decent about this movie will be the soundtrack :)

Dear Hollywood,

Stop doing remakes of movies/tv shows that don't need to be remade (see The Honeymooners, Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched). And they wonder why their profits have been bad.

I agree with you, but the sad thing is it works...

Classic + Stars + NEW TWIST (!!!) = Millions at the Box Office over and over

Remakes + Sequels = Hollywood

She actually somewhat lacks in the butt department. Slap Beyonce' or J.Lo's goods on her and you got yourself perfection at its finest.

its really smart acutally.

all the 12-14 year olds with a punk rock attitude will buy it for simple plan, and this record will help them ease into teenage angst mindframe with bands like senses fail, before growning up and realizing that you should get over the girl who dropped your ice cream back in 3rd grade and you should start listening to mature bands motion city soundtrack. i see this being "the cd that helped me through life". thank you bad news bear.

definitely a weird soundtrack. as for bad news bears, i think it's a good movie to re-make, but no one can ever touch walter matthau. speaking of him, jack lemon and he were the greatest duo ever. grumpy old men, odd couple, out to sea...it doesn't get any better than that.

The soundtrack isn't that weird when you think about it. Incase you don't know, a Soundtrack is different from a comp. Most comps all have a general scene in common. Warped Tour has very similar bands, record label comps have similar bands, etc. A Soundtrack is based on a movie. So there are some songs inspired by the movie and some songs from the movie. I havent seen the movie yet but we are talking about a movie relating to teens so we are gonna get some of the scene shit like Simple Plan, Senses Fail, etc. These bands are in the same genre of pop-punk as MCS and to a lesser extent Phantom Planet and Ben Kweller, the difference being I like the latter three.

The other songs can be easily explained, I read a review that said the kids all sing along to Eric Clapton's Cocaine (sick song), so that explains that. Los Straitjackets' and John Fogertys' songs both relate to baseball, and are probably also featured in the movie. The other songs are probably featured in the movie as well, and the last three tracks are all relating to the movie specifically, im assuming Edward Shearmur wrote the score or something.

Most soundtracks end up like this. Similarily, the Fantastic Four Soundtrack has the same shakeup of artists, if not even more random with such bands as: Taking Back Sunday, Chiny, Velvet Revolver, Lloyd Banks, Ryan Cabrera, Anastacia, Alter Bridge, Joss Stone, Simple Plan...you get the point.

and that makes them mature? simple plan has that drunk driving song which i would say is a serious issue but the guy who brought this whole issue labeled them as immature overall and i would agree. they may have a few "serious" songs lyrically but no matter what they do they are a friggin power-pop band. their music is far from mature.

i am fucking tired of remakes. come up with some god damn original ideas.

I didn't know if we were talking lyrically or musically. Besides, I didn't really know music, as in the instruments, can be more mature than the lyrical content itself, but hey, that's just me.

hey check this out... i've got an idea for hollywood. why dont they remake movies that are horrible. chances are no1 will have heard of these horrible movies that are being remade and if they make it good then they make they're making their money back and some profits. by allowing to see the viewer of this re-vamped movie they can understand how much better the remake of the movie is much better than the original. so yeah you'd waste money on seeing if the orignal is better and which its not. this could stop the critisizing of movies that are remade and done terrible while ruining the movie's purity of adding some young hot and upcomming teenage heart throbs to make a buck off of something thats already been done before
