I want to study audio engineering and music producing in University, and I'm also planning to move to Chicago.
Does anyone know of a music university in Chicago or at least Illinois?

Columbia College is a pretty good option. I mean it's easy to get into and has nice facilities. If you're looking for a challenge check out Depaul University.
Also, Indiana University has a really good music industry program, it's located about 4-5 hours south of Chicago.
However, I'm in the music industry program at California State University, Chico and it's been awesome so far!

Northwestern has one of the best music programs in the country outside of conservatory schools. I've also heard good things about University of Illinois, not sure which campus is supposed to be the best, but they have a Chicago one. It's also public, so much cheaper. Both schools will eb very competitive to get into, though, music programs always are.
DePaul, as the above poster mentioned, also has something of a reputation.
