Story of the Year (http://www.storyoftheyear.net)'s new album, In The Wake of Determination, is being readied for an October 11th release on Maverick Records. The album is heavier and more guitar driven than their previous album, Page Avenue. This effort was produced by Steve Evetts (The Cure, Saves The Day, Hatebreed).

Not my favorite band but I will admit they are awesome live! Any band that moves this much on stage makes their music better because they are enjoying what they write and having fun and most importantly giving the crowd their moneys worth. I will most likely give the new stuff a listen.

I heard they paid radio stations NOT to play sidewalks cuz they thought it would further blow them up even more than Until The Day I Die and Anthem For Our Dying Day already did and was the reason they went right into the opening track off of their album as the fourth single... Either way I like to listen to them on rare occasions mostly cuz I really killed the cd when I first got it, and I didn't think their live show was that outstanding the two times I saw them....
