are awesome, they are only eight games out, and i think they have a chance. I really think they could make a run at it. It being the division

wtf? i hate barry bonds more then any athlete ever, and if they're smart they'll trade jason schmidt for a few stud prospects since the average age of that team is like 36

nice i LOVE the giants, it will be a long way to get back in first but the nl west is the worst league and if barry comes back there is always a chance

I don't think they'll win the west. the west has such weak pitching teams. playoffs will be a nightmare for the giants padres dodgers or diamondbacks.
Whats the average age of the outfield?

I'm a huge Giants fan, but there is a very very small chance they'll make any kind of run at the division. Barry won't be back till the end of August at the earliest which leaves them 30 games at most to make a run. They would have to go 22-8 and the Padres would have to go 14-16 to make up those games. Not to mention the Dodgers and Diamondbacks doing poorly as well. It is too hard to make up that many games at the end of the year with the teams ahead of you playing each other so many times. Somebody has to win those games.
In the last two months of the season the Giants play 17 series, in 9 of those they play in division teams. The play the Padres 7 more times. Not to mention they meet the Rockies 10 more times. Plus the streaking Nationals, and the Brewers 3 times each. I will not be surprised when i see Brian Sabean make a big trade for a better pitcher or bat. Im not counting them out, the dodgers are moving aside. And the Dbacks were never going anywhere in the first place.

The Padres have a total of 24 games left against the Dodgers, D-Backs, Rockies, and Brewers.....
and the Giants 27, with out the added 7 against the Padres

Padres, have lost six straight. The Dodgers are more then done, and the Dbacks are not a threat at all.

...and that brings us to the Giants who have a worse record than all of them. What does that make them?
Have they just been dealing with injuries in the first half, but have a few key veterans to look to in the second half?

The Dodgers are stepping out of the race lookin to grab a few prospects for lowe, and/or weaver. I wanna see Seaben go for either pitching or batting., because both are obviously needed.

Brad Hennessey hit a 3 run homer in the fifth, and if things pan out the giants will be 6 and half out...GO GIANTS
