After stopping by Casey Bates' studio in Seattle, I must say that Anatomy of a Ghost (http://www.fearlessrecords.com) is back and stronger than ever; what they have brewing is brilliant.

Anatomy needs to get out of there contract with fearless if they ever plan on releasing any other music in the future, so they needed to complete and release this album.

this will sound nothing like anatomy of a ghost, so if you're expecting that, you'll be dissapointed. it's portugal. the man's new material being released under the anatomy name.

Last time I checked, people interpret sounds in different ways and in essence, have different opinions on the way vocalists sound. Also, I'm not basing anything around these new demos, bc they aren't AOAG demos, they're PTM ones, whether you choose to admit or realize that is a different story.

I think he sound exactly like Claudio, without the falsetto.

i'm the one who pointed out that they're portugal demos in the first place. you totally bashed them by posting that link in the first place. you told someone that they could hear the new demos by going to coheeds purevolume, hence making the comparison. i pointed out that the new demos sound nothing like coheed, because they're portugal demos, not aoag. i think we're on the same page. only i think portugal are better than coheed, and to compare the two is an insult to portugal.

Yeah, I'm comparing old AOAG to Coheed. I think the vocals are extremely extremely similiar to Coheed. As far as Portugal goes, it's a totally different style that I can't even compare to Coheed. But old AOAG, different story. At least in my opinion.

i agree with that somewhat. old aoag can be compared on some levels, but personally i like old aoag better, but the comparison is there i suppose. portugal just plain blow both bands out of the water to me, but yes, they're very different styles. portugal put on amazing live show. it's baby makin music.

I enjoy old Coheed, I enjoy new Coheed.
I enjoy old Anatomy.
I enjoy the original Portugal demos.
I enjoy the two new tracks.

I also think there are very few similarities between them.

claudio doesnt sing in falsetto....sorry. he belts the vocals way too much to sing in that register the whole time. occasionally he'll go up there and use it, i.e. delirium trigger during the 'breakdown'....dewey however, uses falsetto much more, which is why his vocals are a bit more raspy sounding.

yeah, i would like to hear these though, aoag was, and still is, one of my favorite bands. love rocking the blue shirt with the creepy ass A on it. bitchin

I like both Coheed and Anatomy but I think its a far stretch to say they sound as alike as some of you are making it out to be. AOAG walks all over Coheed.
