It's alright. The last cd was okay, but it was too polished which you don't want when a band's strength lies in their live show. This song sounded like it would easily fit on the last cd. What happened to the harder sound they were going for? :( I did really like the (sound of, primarily) And The Hero Will Drown. Wow, I haven't heard it in ages. The band is incredibly nice though. I met them after their set at Warped Tour like 2 years ago before Page Avenue was released. They were great live and really thankful for the support. I don't know how they are now, though, since Until The Day I Die got them some publicity. ::shrug::

what happened to the harder sound??? easy, they are on Maverick records!!!! which is a pussy poppy record label... then they released bassassins ( ON WARNER BROS.)... this band is way to corporate to be anything worth listening to... its like the hillary duff of hard rock

i promise this band is gonna end up like any other corporate, over produced rock band that has hit our ears... they are garbage, and they just fall right into line, into a genre with other shitty corporate bands... sure ill give them props on their shows, i have heard nothing but amazing things from these wack jobs, but their music is just gonna get old real quick.............................. ................................... ...................... see, damnit, im already sick of them

I wasn't really referring to you, but fine. As far as your comment, I can believe the possibility of nearly anyone has fans. I do tend to place the focus on the audience in terms of "art" (including literature, film, etc that is), but I just fall into that school of thought. Anyone/anything can incite some sort of emotion in someone.

Yes, I know this band also has fans that like them because they think lines like "with my hands around your throat..." sound really awesome. ::shrug:: I don't care, I don't really bother too much with why other people like what they do. No biggie :) Cheers.

I second this (or is it like fifth by now?). What I think is the best song is a lot of the time not a single, and rarely the first single. It's not because I get sick of it from hearing it on the radio, either. I haven't turned that blasted thing on in ages. Part of that is in thanks for AP.net :woot:

Singles tend to be the catchiest songs on the album, that doesn't mean they are the best. They usually lack the muscianship of the other songs, and are in the simple verse chorus verse mode.

soty live performance is overrated nonetheless. i liked page ave but it grew boring after a while. the new song doesnt sound any different than the page ave stuff so ill prob like it but it wont have staying value.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing these guys live, but I did catch some of their Hard Rock Live performance awhile back and they sounded damn good. I liked Page Avenue. It wasn't the greatest CD but it was decent enough to listen to every now and then. This song is alright. It's ridiculously repetitive with some of the lyrics but the guitar driven parts of the song were pretty decent. I'm interested to hear the rest of it, but I don't know if I'll be buying it.

Except, they didnt overproduce this one. In fact, they really dumbed down the producing process on this album, doing it all in their own house. They spent less than half of the budget that was given to them by Maverick, and did a lot of the work themselves.

The album is very good, and this song is just one of MANY that are really well done.
