I've had a lot of people ask what the new Cartel (http://www.cartelrocks.com) album cover looks like underneath the ocard (http://www.absolutepunk.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=2291&c=7), well your answer is here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=2388&c=7). Don't forget - the first songs up for stream hit this website August 16th.

Yes I can, because I have it. Haha, why would anyone say what they think about a CD if they haven't heard it?

I'm not questioning whether or not you have it, I just think it's weird that someone can make some rather bold statements about a CD they couldn't have had for very long.

Trust me, I've listened to it many times, and I have no hesitation in saying that it's my favorite CD. I'm not saying it will be everyone's favorite CD, but for me, I honest to god couldn't ask for better music.

Which is better, The Spill Canvas(the one c.d. we must buy this year) Jack's Mannequin(our generation's Billy Joel), or Cartel(your favorite c.d. all time)? I'm thinking Jack's from what I've heard.

Well, I've only heard the promo tracks for JM, so I can't really say. Obviously, for me, Cartel is first, then I'd probably say TSC, and then JM, though once I hear JM that may change, of course.

Woah woah woah, are you serious? This is even more innacurate than comparing Coldplay to U2.

Who says our generation has to have a Billy Joel, Tate? Who says we need a Led Zeppelin?
No one says we have to have one; therefore, the comparison is there to make anyway. It's an observation, it's my way of pulling the past into the present .. nothing more, nothing less.
And I honestly don't get any of the hype surrounding Nightmare Of You. When Scraps And Heart Attacks split, This Is Hell definitely made off with the talent, and Nightmare Of You is left hanging in a very boring limbo.
Brandon wasn't in Scraps and Heart Attacks and he's NOY's lead singer ... either way, This is Hell doesn't have the melody or vocal talent for me to get into them; decent musicmanship, but the lyrics and vocals aren't up to par with nightmare of you. To each his own ... I think alot of people are really going to dig the new NOY album though.

So if we liked their 5 song ep, then we are going to like the full length?

I don't think many people will not like the full-length, it's got very wide appeal. My parents actually like the full-length ... haha.

Nice, nice, i would not see them appealing to parents but what do i know. They blend together dark lyrics with insanely catchy songs, it's a great mix.

Very nice. This album is going to be amazing. I can feel it. Well you know...feel it...and get that impression from all the hype around here. That's okay though, I love the EP and that stream can't come soon enough.
hey tate... how long are these streams going to be up for? I'm going to be out of the country until the 24th and I'm dying to hear these new cartel songs. Am I going to be S.O.L. until the album comes out?

You cannot say that This Is Hell's vocals are not up to par with NOY. They're on completely different planes. That's like comparing With Honor to Acceptance, Bane to Armor For Sleep, and, well I'm sure you know what I'm getting at.
I'm not denying they've got good vocals, melodies, and the like, but what I've been heard is.. bland I suppose. I know Brandon wasn't in SAHA, but the members that were seem less akin to NOY's style than they did with SAHA. Tate you don't listen to hardcore, and while I'm not judging you on that basis, I am saying that you shouldn't be judging a hardcore singers vocal qualifications.
It's also blasphemous to say that This Is Hell doesn't compare to NOY lyrically. This Is Hell is far beyond what most hardcore bands in their sound niche write lyric wise, and NOY are simply average.
You asked for my opinion, and I gave it to you ... sorry for not folding into the package you wanted, but you don't dig NOY, I don't dig TIH, I'm not sure why we have to argue this? Can't we both just accept that the other person doesn't like what we do? It's perfectly logical, and fine, to disagree over which band we enjoy more.

I'm trying to get my dad in to Daphne Loves Derby ... he's not budging from Micheal Buble at the moment though (that fucker can sing btw...).
