Link's Awakening - which isn't listed.

Well out of these games. There would have been too many options if I added all of the hand held releases also.

I chose OoT....although LttP is a very close second.

It'll have to be Ocarina of Time, then.

I still remember being about four or five years old trying to play the original Zelda. I never had any idea what was goin' on, lol.

Wasn't Ocarina of Time voted best game ever once? Or is that just my opinion?

EGM might have had a article once like that with Ocarina in the top 3. But I'm not too sure.

The only one on the list I never owned. I played it a few times but just for a couple minutes. I really thought Link to the Past would be getting more votes.

Haha I believe it. I was first introduced to by Ocarina of Time and I quickly became a huge fan and started buying every game after that.
I haven't played all of them but I'm pretty sure the answer is Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Time was epic.
Majora's Mask was incredible as well.
And I actually loved the Wind Waker. Had to go with Ocarina overall though.

Ocarina of Time was one of my most anticipated games ever, but the Twilight Princess was fun as well. The only one I didn't really like was Majora's Mask.

Majora's Mask is my all time favorite Zelda title, hands down. Don't care what anyone says, I'd play it over Ocarina Of Time any day. I really want to see it appear on the Virtual Console catalog, I'll gladly and enjoy beating it again 100% all items, masks, and heart containers for the 6th time.
Twilight Princess on the GAMECUBE (it's not only for the Wii, OP) was fucking brilliant as well. An instant classic. Easily tops Ocarina in my opinion, but I guess not that many people agree. I'll probably play it through a second time sometime this summer.

Except for some of the more recent handheld games, which I haven't played, they're all great games.

ocarina of time introduced me to Zelda and I'll never forget how immersing, difficult, and fun it was.
Ocarina of Time. The one for the SNES was one of the first I played though, and I remember being really afraid of the first boss, so I always made my mom beat it for me. After that, I was fine.
I think I'm gonna go bust out my N64 now.

I think your missing oracle of ages/seasons. not that i would vote for them, but if you wanted to be complete...
The Wind Waker. Loved the art, and it was the first Zelda game I ever played. OoT pulls a close second.

I was just going with the major console releases. Was that also one? I know there were many other hand held games and what not but I didn't want to cluster up the choices with those.

Twilight Princess was not better than Majora's Mask. It was a good game, but it was too easy, and it felt like the devs were trying to make another OoT. A lot of the dungeons between the two games share elements. MM wins simply because of originality.
But that's just my opinion. Both were good games.

Yeah I was thinking of putting them at a tie for me, considering Majora's Mask features the same Link as Ocarina Of Time, but Twilight Princess wins over it for me just out of sheer brilliance in its graphics.

Hmm, perhaps I could explain why I didn't like it:
1. Sailing from island to island was an absolute tedious chore, the Ballad of Gales or whatever the song was called somewhat helped later in the game, but by the time you had to go on the ocean treasure hunt for the triforce pieces scattered all over the world map, I practically wanted to kill myself.
2. Dungeons were WAY too easy compared to other Zelda titles. The dungeon bosses were not nearly as memorable as other Zelda bosses, hell, the only I can recall from Wind Waker at the moment is the dragon boss.
3. For a game where you do a lot of sailing in the ocean, I found it highly odd that you never once do any underwater diving.
4. Tingle's map prices. Asshole couldn't reduce the prices by TWO rupees to save some trouble?

It's all good, sir.

twilight princess... how is OoT killing it this badly? twilight is modeled the same way, but with better graphics, better plot, better action, better... everything

Dungeons weren't nearly as fun, and the game in general was really, really easy.

Obviously Ocarina of Time is a classic, but I REALLY liked Twilight Princess (the real, Gamecube version with left-handed Link, not the shit Wii version with right-handed Link). It's just like Ocarina, except WAY bigger and better. Loved it. In fact, I might play it again soon.

Everyone hated Zelda II, but I loved it for some reason.
But I HATED Majora's Mask and it killed my want to play anything after that.
Although I have Twilight Princess and that is a good game.

The Wind Waker is underrated, I thought it was great. And one of the only games to breathe new life into the series.

The only reason it gets so much hate is because people didn't like the sailing mechanic and it was relatively short.

one of the best games i've owned. i will admit, ocarina of time is bad ass too. i think lttp would get more votes if there were side quests and stuff like that.

Link to the Past by far.
Then again I really, really hated the Dark Woods temple.... not to mention the boss turned out to be a demonic butterfly.
