so yes they are the most talented, no one else is doing what they are doing... and when you can actually make a sound that is not similar to anything else out there in today's world where it seems like almost everything has been done... now THAT is TALENT.

Fleet Foxes comes at a close second, a very close second, I think their EP and their self-titled stand stronger than any Animal Collective album and are like a drug that you just can't break an addiction to... they have not left my rotation of albums since their release and that says a lot for the amount of music I go through on a week-by-week basis. However, Animal Collective is more inovative with their sound.

Explosions in the Sky, yeah they're a great band and are talented... but Mono does what they do but MUCH better so they come in third.

I agree that All Time Low sound like a lot of other bands, but I think they're better than almost all of these bands, I guess that's jsut my own personal taste though. ATL shouldn't even be on this least because they are a completely different genre and are obviously far less musically complex than any of the bands listed. This reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkins vs. Devil Wears Prada poll. It makes so fucking sense and it basically picking two random bands and comparing them. I love ATl and they are good for their genre but I wouldn't compare them to the the others bands listed. I like them more than the other bands but that is only because have never listened to those bands. Also talent is a matter of opinion and imo ATL is a talented is creating catchy and fun pop-rock.

Sure Explosions has an upper-hand in the sense that their music is much more complex in terms of progression and technicalities but this poll is just proof of the narrow-minded view that the users of this website have on music. a) That wasn't over 5. and b) Just because 65days are post rock doesn't mean they sound like explosions. And music doesn't have to be complex for you to enjoy it. Think about Bob Dylan songs. Simple, beautiful acoustics.

And maybe the pollers just don't like the things that have never been heard before. I do, but I prefer Explosions, and 65days even more (they should've definitely been on here).
