A band I listen to a lot. Wondering what everyone else thinks of them or just if anyone else has heard or heard of them. Just signed to Universal Motown. I would call them "piano rock." Friends of mine from Seattle.

Probably could have titled this "(Official Thread)" and gotten away with it. I highly doubt they have been mentioned on these forums before.

yeah and it's hard not to compare them to Jack's Mannequin. just cause of the piano rock genre.

I could call and ask him. But my gut says no. They are remastering their album Absolutes and releasing it on their new label with 4 new tracks. They stop in New York a decent amount though, so you probably could go see them pretty easily.

They are 100x better live. Brian Fennell (keys and lead vocals) has an amazing voice. Way more powerful live. They also play stuff off Brian's solo stuff. (Barcelona started at Brian's solo project) Look for Brian Fennell on iTunes, Secret Smiles is probably one of the best songs he has ever written.

It was a solo project till he started touring, and he brought in his friends (also the people who helped in the recording of his solo album) to form the band. After touring, he felt the project was better fit as a band.

I was at a show the other night and some guy I met told me about them. He brought me over to his car to show me and I was REALLY impressed! Reminded me of MuteMath a little!

Love this band. If you ever have the chance to see them live, do it. They're incredible.

They posted a studio update with a clip of a new song in it if you're interested.
