when is it coming out?

it was march 31, and i think they bumped it to mid-april. but still. that way more specific that brand new ever is with release dates.

Brand New since they're the only band on that list that I listen to. NFG, STD, Hellogoodbye, Two Tongues, Ace Enders all are more anticipated for me than Brand New though.

Yeah I agree, as much as I'd like to be unique and name some obscure indie band only twenty people have heard of, I gotta love some new Brand New, although I'll probably check out all of these releases.

LongDistanceDrunk
01/18/09, 06:11 AM
Also: Saves the Day and the Dear Hunter.

That already happened. They were on the Say Anything/ Saves the day spring 07 tour. They were really boring live and were worse than Meg and Dia. That was 2 years ago so maybe they are better live now.

Don't make me jealous.

I love The Dear Hunter, and I want to think their incredible album translates to being incredible live.

I still need to see Saves The Day and Say Anything live. All my chances thus far have been squandered or missed. Warped Tour for Say Anything I guess counts, but I want a legitimate, headlining show.

01/19/09, 10:48 PM
Brand New, but I get a feeling it'll be The Devil and God part II which is boring, they should do something COMPLETELY different again, I'd be very pleased if they made an album in the vein of the sound of the demos prior to The Devil and God, kinda Morrisey-esque but that wont happen... I just want an album that is a little less aggressive from the guys again, not like Deja but something new!

yeah man, they're writing and doing demos, i believe.
but honestly for them...what's next?

personally, i want more of the isis-type tracks off vheissu. those thick, heavy riffs are my fav.

Everyone hates on Post Vheissui Thrice. But its only getting better and smarter.

the less accessible the music is, the more people will diss it.
but they just keep getting better at being musicians and songwriters.
you can't name a band other than thrice that has played punk rock, post-hardcore, folk, electronica, and post-metal, let alone the fact they've done it all extremely well and better than their peers.

but i guess we'll find out in the fall (hopefully) what comes next in the thrice chapter.

I have so much faith in this band and im sure it will be great.

but of those, i went with Brand New and Thrice. Brand New is my favorite band and Thrice never disappoints...
then again, no date has been set for the Brand New release, so i'm not holding my breath that it'll be this year.
there are so many highly anticipated albums this year though
