eh. i'll probably pass on this one since i'm not really a fan of fall out boy's past 2 cds and i don't like cobra or metro. i like all time low and hey monday, but it's gonna be too expensive of a ticket to make it worth it.

I like all these bands, so I'm very happy about this. :D But it says ATL, Cobra, & Metro Station are alternating opening slots...does this mean that only one of those plays at each concert, or they just switch the order?

Well... It's $36 for the Milwaukee show on Ticketmaster. If this is a sign of things to come, you're looking at $50/ticket with all the shitty fees and such. That feels like crap when I'll be paying $20 less to see Butch Walker and Gaslight Anthem/Good Old War in separate shows... Yikes.

Bruised26
01/17/09, 06:18 PM
Stupid service fees. actually if you order them online, there is a 10 dollar service charge, then a venue fee (or something like that). For these kind of venues, its at the cheapest $9. So you are looking at a $55 ticket... wow. I'll have to work extra hrs...

Wasnt it only $29 for the Young Wild Things tour?

$36 would NOT be $55 after fees that's ridiculous.

I was judging this based off the Rock Band Live tour ticket, because this tour is playing the same venue as that and has the same ticket prices. For that tour, I purchased one ticket that was $40 and it ended up being $55. But for this I forgot it was $35 not $40...So you are right it's $50. Wow! I sound like a math nerd, but whatever...haha

If you buy your tickets at Publix (Yep thats right. Most Publix's are ticketmaster retailers), you can knockoff a few dollars in fees. So it could end up being only $45

Im pretty stoked for this actually because they are playing in a small venue in comparison to the previous time they played in montreal!

yeah, it was general admission, it was at this place called "The Creepy Crawl" in St. Louis. I would say it holds about 200 kids max. It's probably the shittiest venue I've ever been too but it makes for fun shows.

Apparently, they closed in December.

And yes, it's the shittiest venue ever. I've played there before (Ha. I've played the same venue as FOB.) and NOBODY can sound good there. Fuck their sound system.

But yeah, FOB there was hella fun. I waited in the snow for 4 hours to get in. The place was PACKED.

that's exactly what i thought when i read this announcement...whatever happened to that MRC/FOB co-headlining tour that was rumored all last year?

moped...but i'll still go, FOB's shows are always pretty sick nasty awesome. And now I can take my time getting there without worrying about missing the opening acts, lol.

ourlady311
01/18/09, 11:55 PM
so what do you think their set's gonna be like this tour? their last few headliners have been more or less the same, but it seems like as they're gaining popularity fans are starting to dig TTTYG a little more...so hopefully they'll play more from that one? I think I would lose my shit if they played Tell That Mick.

And honestly, I really could do without hearing Sugar, or maybe without hearing another single or two and have a rarity replacing it (like 311 does, if anyone's been to their concerts). Anyone else agree/disagree?

i've read that a few dates go on sale on the 23rd, with the rest on the 30th.
Anyone know what shows are going to start selling on the first date?

also, does anyone know how seating for the ricoh coliseum in toronto works? are there GA floors, or is the whole thing seats?

thanks!

idk bout this tour, im on the fence, i think FOB's sick live and wouldn't mind all time low too, but i'm going to bamboozle and the dates i would see this are either like 1 week before bamboozle or like 4 days after, is it worth it?

Not all of us are priveleged enough to have PubeLicks around us.

That being said, ticket prices aren't that bad for an arena packaged tour. Bummer that people have to suffer through All Time Low, Metro Station and Hey Monday for this though...

i`m way to excited.
fall out boy and metro station are both my fav bands.
i`ve seen fall out boy in concert once. metro station three times. cobra starship once and all time low once.
they all put on an amazing show, so this concert is going to be truly amazing.
i`m to excited, i cry whenever i think about.
honestly, i`m not lying.

Dude, do you survive solely on pop/rock bands?

haha pretty much for the most part. I guess my favorites list isn't very diverse:

Dashboard Confessional, Brand New, The Spill Canvas, and Fall Out Boy are probably my favorites since I have been listening to this music in 2001. I also think All Time Low is very good at what they do...they are a fuck around pop rock band and I think they do it really well.

I think M83 was the most obscure release I enjoyed last year and even he is getting pretty big. lol

I would love to see that happen, but i highly doubt it will. My guess is the setlist is very similar to the Young Wild Things Tour but they replace the non single songs they played off IOH (Hum Hallelujah, Dont you know who i think i am, the afterlife of the party, Carpal Tunnel) with popular songs from FAD (I Dont Care, Americas Sweethearts, Headfirst Slide, their next single). as for TTTYG they will play GTA and Saturday, then most likely one more (Tell That Mick or Chicago most likely, but possibly Grenade Jumper or Patron Saints?). And also, FOB will play Sugar at every show...its what made them who they are.

And as much as I like it I hope they don't play Beat It on this tour again haha

They will definitely play all the singles from the record on this tour, so that is
I Don't Care
What A Catch, Donnie (they will probably bring out some members of the other bands for this song to sing backup)
America's Suitehearts
Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown
and then some of the other tracks like
Disloyal Order
Shipped Gold Standard
Coffee's for Closers
Tiffany Blews

Yeah... i'd expect something along those lines. I think they'll play "Tiffany Blews" over "Coffees for Closers". I just have a feeling "Tiffany Blews" will be the next single. It kind of feels like the "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" of FAD and could hit big at radio.

I agree. and plus since "Tiffany Blews" has Lil Wayne in it, it'll appeal to more people than most songs on the album.

I really hope Fall Out Boy opens with "Disloyal Order...." It would be a really cool if it was dark and just Patrick singing the opening lines.

Also, they are playing at Memphis in May on May 3rd if anyone in the Midsouth is going to that. It's not on the tour poster though.

And I really want to go to this. Not just because of FOB, All Time Low, and Cobra, but because me and my friends plan on heckling Metro Station during their entire set.

I want to see Trace Cyrus cry.

and it cost $97 for two tickets, but whatever

dont do that... as lame as they are u could ruin an entire concert experience for some people. i saw strayllight run open for the used last year and the frat boys kept yelling shit at them and there was talk of throwing a bottle of piss on stage. it really ruined my night.

they DO suck, but for all you know, the girl standning next to you singing all the words could have saved up for the last 3 months to see them.

This.
And Trace doesn't get upset, he just gets determined to win you over, so he works harder to put on a better show. I saw them open for Saves the Day, where no one liked them, and thats exactly what happened.

places in england are either all standing for smaller rooms or have about 6000 standing in the arenas and the rest are then seated..

I have my general admission ticket.
Came to $56.50 in the end. Unbelievable, but I have to see Fall Out Boy (they're one of my favourite bands and I've never seen them before).

I'm excited for FOB and Hey Monday. All Time Low is pretty good too.
I'm indifferent when it comes to Cobra Starship (MIDTOWN REUNION PLEASE?)
And Metro Station is fucking terrible.

Dang this tour is selling fast!
The date near my house is almost entirely sold out, and floor tickets were gone after the 1st hour they were available. This is funny because the Rock Band Live tour played the same venues as this, and it didnt sell out any dates period haha. Shows how much much more popular FOB is than Panic :miagi:

My guess is they will open the tour with "Disloyal Order" then probably do "Tiffany Blews" or "Coffee's for Closers"....Dont know why I think that

I don't know if every city does this but at least in Cleveland/Columbus you can buy tickets at the venue's box office ahead of time and pay nothing/very minimal amounts in service charges.
I bought this and a Gaslight Anthem ticket and paid $44 dollars, and the two tickets cost $41.

I'm only predicting 5 songs from FAD:
Headfirst Slide
I Don't Care
America's Suitehearts
Disloyal Order
Coffee's For Closers

The rest heavily IOH and FUCT, and Saturday and GTA

I agree about them being great songs, but I don't think FOB really regards Shipped as a concert song, and What a Catch might be more difficult to pull of live. At least for this tour, I'm sticking to the 5 I said before.

yeah I agree with you. But I heard from someone they were doing What a Catch and bringing out Cassadee from HM, Alex from ATL, Gabe and Victoria from Cobra, and Mason from MS to sing the other solos and backup for it. If thats true, it will be amazing! I think we'll just have to see when the tour starts soon, and look at their european sets (they will probably be similar)

Honestly, I don't find it catchy at all. The chorus is terrible.

...THE THUNDER!
See above.
But yeah, not trying to make anyone mad or anything. It's just, in my opinion, the song is a weak point in Folie a Deux. If it truly is going to be the next single... well they can kiss any chance of increasing CD sales of Folie a Deux goodbye. The best choice of singles at this point would be either:

1. Tiffany Blews - Genuinely catchy, plus it has the Lil Wayne factor.
2. Disloyal Order - Nobody can deny how good of a start this was to Folie a Deux and I could picture it on the airwaves
3. What A Catch, Donnie - Just imagine how great that would be to see all of the guests pop up for the finale, and the song itself is a great look back at FOB's entire career. Retrospective, yet fresh.
4. 20 Dollar Nosebleed - Brendon Urie compliments Patrick's vocals well and it's a good tune

Honestly, I don't find it catchy at all. The chorus is terrible.

See above.
But yeah, not trying to make anyone mad or anything. It's just, in my opinion, the song is a weak point in Folie a Deux. I disagree with What a Catch being so high on there. There is no way it would stay afloat as a single. I would thing Shipped Gold Standard would do pretty well, it's light hearted, and has a catchy as fuck hook. Otherwise, the two songs with guest vocalists (Tiffany and Nosebleed) would both do extremely well. Then again, I thought the catchiness of I Don't Care would make that song blow up (even though I don't really like the song), but I guess I was wrong.

"She's My Winona" is the shit.

I'm not saying it's a bad song, but I'm especially surprised because the other two songs were up in the voting for the next single. "Tiffany Blews" won by a pretty sizable margin as well, so that's why it shocks me. Plus, "The Shipped Gold Standard" would be such a great song live. I just feel like "She's My Winona" gets too repetitive with all the "whoaaaaaaa's."

I see every song on the album aside from "What A Catch" and "West Coast Smoker" as a single.

No Tell That Mick in your dream set? That almost makes me want to write off your set completely haha...Also Yule Shoot Your Eye out is cool, but I think it should be reserved for Christmas shows (which they pretty much do!)

Everyone is going to have different dream sets so I guess that is cool, but I think Tell That Mick should ALWAYS be in their set.

Mine would look like this:

Disloyal Order
Thriller
Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song
Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes
16 Candles
Headfirst Slide
Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner
Tiffany Blews
Hum Hallelujah
The (After) Life of the Party
Coffees for Closers
Honorable Mention
Grand Theft Autumn
This Ain't A Scene
America's Suitehearts
Sugar We're Going Down

Encore:

Tell That Mick
Dance, Dance
Thnks Fr Th Mmrs
Saturday

EOWYG: 1
TTTYG: 4
FUCT: 5
IOH: 5

First, a note to all: I completely forgot Shipped! It is probably my favourite on the album, or damn close, so I can't believe I forgot it.

Tiffany Blews was originally my least favorite song. Now it's "West Coast Smoker," followed by "w.a.m.s."
w.a.m.s. I don't think I'll ever like. The ending is awful and the actual song isn't anything special. West Coast Smoker I hated at the beginning, but its grown on me a lot.

Even though they arent playing Shipped Gold Standard on this tour (yet), I think it has a possibility of being the single. It's the 4th most popular track on the album, according to iTunes.
I would like to see that. It's my ringtone. :P

I disagree with What a Catch being so high on there. There is no way it would stay afloat as a single. Then again, I thought the catchiness of I Don't Care would make that song blow up (even though I don't really like the song), but I guess I was wrong.
I guess you're right, I just thought that all the guests would make an interesting choice of single.
And I don't really like I Don't Care, and not because it was the first single. It is one of the weaker songs on the album for me in that it's kind of generic and boring.

How I'd rank the tracks (excluding Lullabye):
1. The (Shipped) Gold Standard
2. Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
3. (Coffee's for Closers)
4. Tiffany Blews
5. Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet
6. What A Catch, Donnie
7. 20 Dollar Nosebleed
8. America's Suitehearts
9. 27
10. West Coast Smoker
11. I Don't Care
12. She's My Winona
13. w.a.m.s.

That changes somewhat frequently, but that's how I'd rank it as of now.

Their time slot is only 75 minutes for bamboozle left so I'm guessing you will get closer to 15 songs instead of 19...still not bad, but I would assume 2 TTTYG songs will get cut.

Hey Monday is definitely better than Metro Station, but as you probably know the order bands play at a show is based on popularity and Metro Station is definitely more well known than Hey Monday.

The exception on this tour is going to be 50 cent. He is probably more well known than Fall Out Boy, but he is only a guest on this tour so they are placing him fairly early in the show.

This thread is really weird. I don't see how you could dislike it, but it's kind of a weird orgy of insanity.

There's no way 450 people could've fit into the Creepy. Nonetheless, the show wasn't even close to being sold out due to the weather and the fact that it was what, a Wednesday night? I'll bet there were about 200 people there.

I'm not saying you're wrong in stating that there could've been only 200 people at that particular show, but there have been shows with over 400 people there. For example, when Against Me! played there in March '06, there had to have been at least 400, possibly more. I'm pretty sure that their posted capacity was 450 though.

This thread is not a "weird orgy of insanity", it's dumb.

Is it really true though that Cobra's not playing Guilty Pleasure?

Does anyone know how to find out who the direct support is for each show since it rotates?

YES. that would be so cool. im assuming you are going to the show on the 23rd?
I think from the new album itll prob be coffee, headfirst, i dont care, and america suitehearts

hell yeah man i'll be there, how about you?

and that's pretty funny because i just saw the set you posted and was thinking how cool it was that someone else thought that the opening of those 2 songs would be disastrous!

I want it to be metro/atl/cobra at my show...but with my luck, it'll probably be the exact opposite haha

Too bad 99% of the setlists here aren't real.
oh. good to know. apparently I'm totally oblivious to that.

i was glad there was 7 FAD songs played. too bad they'll most likely never play 27. just like they are never going to play You're Crashing, But You're No Wave. Which is one of my all time favorite songs. Its up there with Tell That Mick.., Yule, and NPBITC. I got videos of all the new songs played at Bamboozle Left except for America's Suitehearts, which I got last time anyway. You guys should check out (Coffee's For Closers) what Pete and Patrick did at the end was amazing, someone tell me if they're doing it at the other shows. oh and from the info I've gathered, I think FOB are shooting another DVD on this tour. Anyone else hear about that?

i posted the link a few pages back, but www.youtube.com/users/kobefan131 if you want to see the videos. the lighting on the stages at Bamboozle was terrible, and the sound was inadequate, but FOB still owned my face.

There really is no way, but if you follow Alex Suarez on twitter, he said he's gonna post what time they play everyday before the show.

Against Me at the Creepy?

Sweet.

i'm pretty sure you're right. fall out boy played a show in new york city that i went to on the release date of Folie A Deux and their were camera crews outside. they played some footage from that date and a los angeles date in theaters in january. me and my friends were first on line for the show and were talking to the camera crews, like why they were there. they told us they were filming something for a dvd about fall out boy, but they weren't sure when it would be released. the camera crew has me crying [because i just found out i was going to meet fall out boy] and me talking about the band. i'm not sure if it's going to be something like '**** live in phoenix', but it'll be great either way.

I will also add to the love "Mick". Its easily my favorite Fall Out Boy song.

I'm surprised to see that so many people love that song. It's probably in my top four FOB songs. Along with Sophomore Slump, Pros & Cons of Breathing, & Honorable Mention.

My top ten (but it changes constantly) in no order:
Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today
Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year
Chicago Is So Two Years Ago
XO
You're Crashing, But You're No Wave
The Pros and Cons of Breathing
The (Shipped) Gold Standard
Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes
Of All The Gin Joints In All The World
Golden

I think the one on there that most people would disagree with is Golden, but it's such a fantastic little song IMO.

That's disappointing that Metro Station has a longer set than all of the other ones.
Hopefully they aren't first support here in Vancouver.
