The tour just started yesterday, figure start up a thread. I'll be going to the New York city date at Irving Plaza. If anyone has any setlists from yesterdays show, or is going to a show post em here.

Going for This Is Hell and Emarosa. The Sleeping are downright awful, and Funeral For A Friend were only decent back in 2003, in my opinion.

I was there too, it was a great show. The Sleeping was disappointing, i've seen them do a lot better and Doug complaining about that tow truck crap throughout their set was kind of annoying, talked to him a bit after the show though...he was cool. The other bands were great, haha.

I saw This is Hell in Augusta headline an off date to this tour and once again they killed it, they played a great set. I'm not sure how much of it will be played on this tour though. I am seeing them in Atlanta on saturday so I will post another set list then.

Yeah that was annoying, he wasn't even like that the few times I saw The Sleeping before last night. It basically seemed like he was just putting on an act, something about it just seemed fake to me.

On the Reinventing The Real Tour stop in Denver, they promised the next time they'd be back they would play "Disciples". Guess it's only for Denver? Or probably just said that in the spur of the moment.

You never know with that band, they are such a tight band live Im pretty sure they could play at least 90% of their songs at any given moment. I have seen them over 10 times and nearly every time they play at least one song that I havent seen before which is awesome. Disciples would be a good one but I was really hoping they would add Memoirs to the set or keep You Are the Antithesis in (they use to play it a lot but I haven't seen it in a while). I love all their songs so I can't argue with any set list they choose.
I am kinda worried though cause the drummer is leaving after this tour so that could impact their set lists some.

Oh and the best part about the show tomorrow is its at the masquerade, while this show is playing down stairs, reel big fish and streetlight manifesto are playing upstairs, so I get to see this is hell and then go upstairs and watch reel big fish, should be fun.

Saw this last night in Ft. Lauderdale. Wasn't too into This is Hell, but they weren't bad. Emarosa was reeeeally good. I'm pretty sure Jonny hit every single note, and they had so much energy. The Sleeping were pretty awesome, too; I really enjoyed their set. FFAF was good, but I feel like they weren't as good as the openers. They soundchecked "History" but didn't play it. They also didn't come back out for an encore (even after the crowd chanted "one more song!" for about five straight minutes) which I thought was a little weird. But, overall, it was a pretty fun show.
Emarosa's setlist (not in order except for the first and last songs):
Pretend. Release. The Close
Heads Or Tails, Real Or Not
The Past Should Stay Dead
What's A Clock Without the Batteries?
Sailing In The Dark Isn't Smart, Kid!
Set It Off Like Napalm
All I remember/know about The Sleeping's set is that they played at least one new song, Don't Hold Back, If Your Heart Was Broken... You Would Be Dead, and I don't know the rest. It may just be easier for me to tell you what they didn't sing (for example, King of Hearts).

This. Same as Atlanta. I was disappointed that it was a semi-short set. I wanted more. I didn't read up on what they have been playing so, Maybe I Am was a good surprise, and especially Novella! Novella was FANTASTIC. No encore either. Kiiiiinda gay. Whatever though.

I ended up getting into the venue in the middle of This is Hell's set so I missed a couple songs but if I had to guess it went something like this (* means they definitely play this song):
Broken Teeth
Polygraph Cheaters
Deliver Me
End of An Era *
No Mercy At All (Cro mags cover) *
Reckless*
Prelude (again)*
Permanence *
I had a blast even though I missed some songs, there were some douchebags up front though that had a really bad attitude any time I would push up against them trying to sing along and were just being assholes, and at one point the singer took one of the kids hat and threw it out into the crowd and then when the kid started talking shit the singer spit in the kids face, he definitely deserved it.
I saw emarosa and thought they were terrible, saw the last song of The Sleeping and it was the guitar hero song and didn't really sound all that good, and I didnt watch funeral for a friend.

This is Hell is a HARDCORE band, you have to be prepared for that kind of stuff, it really wasn't that crazy of a pit, it could have/should have been much worse. Those african american guys didn't really know what they were doing but they were hvaing fun, they really werent that rough. And if your standing near the pit your gonna get hit, deal with it but don't get pissed off at everyone else cause they are having more fun than you. This is Hell is my absolute favorite hardcore band, and Im not just gonna stand on the side and bob my head mouthing words, Im gonna get up there sing along with the band, jump on people, stage dive and go crazy in the pit, thats what I paid to get in for. Now its fine if thats not your thing I have no problem with that, but you gotta understand that people enjoy music differently, unless a guy is deliberately looking at you and punching you in the face or something then getting hit it is probably on accident. And people up front have to be prepared that they might get pushed a little bit if you wanna keep your spot. And like I said the crowd could have been much much worse, if more then 2 hardcore kids showed up for that band, anyone near the pit would have been left with bruises.
Sorry for the rant, and it is nothing personal I just go to shows to have a good time and I hate it when people think Im an asshole for loving a band and caring for music so much.

i was there last night, and i'd just like to say that those dudes were deliberately trying ruin everybody's night. i'm a fairly small person, but i realize that if i'm in the pit, i might get pushed around and hit..that's cool with me. i feel as though if i'm just standing in one place while seeing the sleeping, there's a problem. those dudes were just general douchebags though. one of them kept following me all night and being super creepy, they made fun of people and said rude things to their faces, and just wanted to make everybody miserable for whatever reason. so i'm with the OP. if you wanna hardcore dance and flail around, cool, i will give you all the space you need, but don't come grab me and try and throw me in the pit.
also i really did not have that good of a time at this show. the douche crew didn't even bother me during the sleeping, the only band i came for, but i really did not enjoy their set at all. they only played like 4 songs that anybody knew. i realize they're coming out with a new album, but it's just no fun to see half a set of new songs. doug stood on the barricade right on top of me all night, so i basically watched the rest of the band play through his legs while he stepped on me. it was really not what i paid for. i've always had fun every time i've seen the sleeping, but i definitely regret standing in the snow for last night. i still love the sleeping, though, so i'll attribute their being off last night to all of the crap they've been handling the past few days.
anyway, i'm done whining. i'm just disappointed because the sleeping was the only band i went for, but i enjoyed the other bands a whole lot.

Ok, well I left after This is Hell so anything that happened during any of the other bands I was no part of and I didnt see anything else that was happening, but if they were deliberately trying to throw you in the pit then yeah thats fucked up. But I really don't think those black kids knew what they were doing (or if they have even ever been to a show before), they were trying to be like my best friends or something and get me to "stick with them" the entire night because i was the only other person moving around (for this is hell) but I wasn't going to do that, I just went upstairs and watched reel big fish. But from the sounds of it, other people (not me) were being douche bags but I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing, they were just trying to do what they thought others hardcore kids do.
The main thing I was getting pissed at were the people up front, they were getting really pissed at me because I was leaning up against them when trying to sing along. Even when I was just standing there, I would get pushed into them by the pit, which isn't a big deal but they keep trying to punch my nuts and elbow me and shit as if I can control getting pushed into them, fuck them, the dude deserved to get spit on. Dont stand in front if you can't handle a little physical contact.
Oh and yeah, the other bands sounded like shit to me, I was not impressed at all by the Sleeping. Emarosa was terrible.

Well its better then standing there and doing nothing...
Thats whats wrong with the music scene, everyone is concerned with what they look like at a show not the having fun part.
So even if 10 years later I hate hardcore music and think dancing is retarded then I will still look at the footage and be like "well at least I was having fun", so fuck you.

I agree but, come on man, swinging your arms in a 6-foot-radius around your body in a packed crowd and then playing the "hey man, if you get in the way, tough shit, your fault" card is pretty lame. Totally get how kids want to jump around, dance, etc. but hardcore "dancing"? Really?

Whatever, I see what your saying but should have nothing to do with the way it looks. Like I said I understand if people are deliberately invading your space and trying to hit you and physically hurt you (not just pushed into you) then yeah by all means you can get pissed and try and do something (although it probably wont end well). And yeah dancing looks retarded as fuck, it makes no sense, but it is fun as shit to do, it gives you a rush and you truly enjoy the music more then if you were just standing around, its just a way of showing passion to the music. Its no worse then any other stupid trend in the music scene.
And I agree, dancers should dance in the middle of the pit, not the side where they try to swing/kick into people.

I went last night. And it was awesome. Before the show, I met Jonny Craig and Doug Robinson. Both great guys. This Is Hell, was reallly energetic and put on a great show, but sadly only 1-2 ppl were into their set. Emarosa was amazing. Simply Put. These guys need to get better slots than what they have got. The Sleeping really put on the best show of the night. They have a tremendous stage presence. They really set it off. Funeral for a Friend could have been way better. The crowd was really into it, but the vocalist was pretty off on some of their songs. Overall, it was a good set. and The Sleeping played:
You'll Be A Corpse Someday (New)
Loud & Clear
If Your Heart Was Broken, You Would Be Dead
New Song
The Climb
Bomb The World (New)
Dearest Mistake
Don't Hold Back

I went last night. And it was awesome. Before the show, I met Jonny Craig and Doug Robinson. Both great guys. I wish I could have gone to this. They came to MD a few nights ago, but I couldn't go because I had midterms the next morning. I'll be sure to see Emarosa when they come back in March.

Going for This Is Hell and Emarosa. The Sleeping are downright awful, and Funeral For A Friend were only decent back in 2003, in my opinion.
It should be interesting at the Marquis, but sadly, I am not going

NYC show demonstrated the perfect way a show should be. All the morons still had a circle big enough to do their "moves" while everyone else was able to bop around without having to worry about some idiot randomly jumping into them so they could shout back at the singer. Good times.

If you know anything about this then you should contact the band, these dudes do not deserve to get stolen from:
" relayed from Rick...
I had an amp stolen yesterday at the show in Stockton, California... most of these shows don't have locals; yesterday did. these are not hardcore shows and we're (unfortunately)the only hardcore band playing every night. i bring that up because in my 28 years of life, i have never been stolen from at a hardcore show, but have been stolen from twice on this swoopy hair rock bullshit environment type tour. there is an inherent lack of quality of individual this style of music draws, and the lack of respect in music outside the hardcore scene is becoming more and more apparent each day. thats my personal inference based on experience, not prejudice.
shit was reported with the cops. I'll be taking it up with the promoter and venue as well. I did what i could wit the bands without it becoming illegal so far but that hasn't gotten very far outside of a couple of little kids getting nervous and making excuses.
if anyone knows any of these three bands... Ourselves Among Others, La Circa, We're Not Friends Anymore... keep an eye out for a Mesa Boogie Triple Rec amp that they may be using in the future because it is mine and not theirs.
If anyone knows a random from the area that went to this show, relay the information and maybe they can help me get my shit back or return it if it was stolen, picked up accidentally or what have you.

I completely forgot to post Emarosa's set from a week ago.
Emarosa 02/02/09:
Pretend. Release. The Close
What's a Clock Without Batteries?
Heads or Tails? Real or Not
The Past Should Stay Dead
Set It Off Like Napalm
Set was cut short due to technical problems, they probably would've played Sailing In The Dark Isn't Smart Kid! if it weren't for that. They need to start playing Just Another Marionette and the two-part final track off of Relativity.

Hardcore music = good
Hardcore dancing = bad
Hardcore dancing is part of Hardcore music and Hardcore shows.
You can't have one without the other.
Its just a way of showing your into the music and it adds to the enegry of the show.
Imagine a hardcore show without hardcore dancing. You can't.

Before going to San Luis Obispo, the next morning they randomly went back to the venue and some kid walked in and said "I found this in my truck". Amp was returned extremely fast
