Good poll. I love NFG to death but Finch was the hype during that time.
You should have had the Fenix T to the X.

Fenix was never as good or as influential as the bands in the poll.

Rx Bandits, mostly because The Resignation in '03. Easily the best musically, anyway.

i used to love Finch's first album.
NFG, closely followed by TSL.

Well ok, but your poll doesn't say most influential. :-p

The Movielife has a gambling problem was awesome! I haven't listened to that in ages. It's about to hit the CD player as we speak.

Guess it's pretty self explanatory who I voted for. NFG is a close second though
nfg. although its hard to decide what releases from some of these bands really count as drive thru releases because of the whole geffen records thing.

New Found Glory, for me.

That's actually a good point. I'd take NFG over SILYMI era TSL but not over BOATS

i hate to be an asshole....
but no Something Corporate, Homegrown, RX Bandits on this list? I wouldve voted for rx bandits honestly....as the drive-thru years were the best (IN MY OPINION)...
but i thought this site loved to suck jacks mannequin cock...which means, sucking soco's cock. idk maybei imw rong.

NFG because they're my favorite band. Midtown and TSL are up there though. I honestly never knew there were many Finch fans out there. I bought What It Is To Burn and was not impressed at all and gave it away. I tried to listen to them a few months ago for the first time in years and it was still no good.

Steel Shit? Steel Train is amazing. They've been on Drive-Thru for a very long time now too.
They sure are awesome. Hopefully they don't get fucked with the current Drive Thru drama and are able to release their new album as planned. They need to find a new label soon. I think Vagrant would be a good fit.

concerning nfg,at this point, as much as it pains me, i'd rather of dtr as the label that once had the honor of being the home of the great nfg, instead of nfg being best old school drive thru band, dtr is but a footnote in their history now, of course they had a little reunion, but come on, dtr blew their big chance at getting back a big part of what made them a great label several years back.
so concerning the other ones left, I'll have to go with Finch they're the red-headed step child of the bunch, I mean Midtown was awsome, but I'm gonna go w/Finch, I also think RX Bandits shoulda been included, and maybe FenixTX simply cause they were the first to get any mainstream attention, so they put em on the map
oh and for anyone who loved Jenoah, I'd think y'all agree that they were the best in the "dtr bands w/promise that fell off the face of the earth rather quickly" catagory

I don't know why people keep on bringing up Forget What You Know. It wasn't even released on drive-thru. I chose NFG, but Midtown's "Living Well Is the Best Revenge" is definitely a fave, so they come in second.

I'm thinking about making a sequel to this thread. Obviously, I fucked up and forgot about SoCo, so I want some suggestions on which bands should be on my next poll. They're in as long as they fit the criteria of a) Good band and b) on Drive Thru during 2000-2003.

I'd add Rx Bandits, Something Corporate and Allister... perhaps Steel Train, The Early November and Homegrown...
If you're sticking to that timeline, might as well, right?
I don't really remember who was on it, but the bands on the DTR Warped Tour Stage in '02 would work. Seems about the time it was at its height.

I adore all five, but that is my order.
And since everyone was putting the Midtown full lengths in order, here's mine:
Living Well > FWYK > Saves The World although it was incredibly hard to put FWYK and STWLTG in order.
