I have been listening to a lot of rap - Paul Wall, Mike Jones and Slim Thug (I saw him at LAX and he was first class in my plane, it was an honor).

And if I want to be serious about rap I haven't taken Common's new album out of my car.. and that Mos Def / Mobb Deep is song is pretty fuckin sweet if you ask me.

The new Slim Thug is all right...but not nearly as good as it's hyped to be. I really have never listened to the whole thing through and some songs are just bad, but there are some winners. I still have not checked out the new Common, although I've been meaning to.

All I've been listening to is MF Doom and his millions of other projects, Sage Francis, and Atmosphere.

That Common album is amazing. I went back and took another listen to Talib Kweli's A Beautiful Struggle recently and damn that's a great album.

I agree with Blaubs. Pall Wall and Mike Jones get on my nerves more than anything.
