Okay, I know we're only at ~ 143 journals created at the moment, but as a small incentive to sign up, here's the deal. Whoever creates the 1,000th journal, 2,000th journal, 3,000th journal, etc. will win a bunch of swag (Cd's, stickers, shirts, signed things, DVDs, etc.) we have laying around over here. Also, if the user that creates this journal tells me of another member that referred them to sign up, I'll give the referring friend a bunch of free stuff as well.

If people can see the amount of journals currently created, don't you think they'll just sit and wait until 490 comes up to create theirs? 992? 1997? I'm sure you see what I'm getting at. Maybe you should hide the little counter at the bottom of the page.

what about people that already signed up for journals? no one reads them, anyways.
good idea. I would say at 5,000 dont make another until 7,500, then 10,000. After a while once you get 1,000 more journals won't even seem like landmarks.

well...i love free stuff.. but i already have random internet journals.. i dont know if i can keep up with another..

jason you should pick random three and four digit numbers that tickle your fancy and then when that number guest gets a journal they win something...that way its completely random and its complete journal chaos.

thats an awsome idea, i would love that, and you could have artists contribute exclusive stuff, like shirts just for you and you get part of the profit, if you only make like 500 of the shirts they'd sell like hotcakes.

Why don't you jsut pick a random number & reward that journal? I think it'd work out better.
& I would be all for rewarding people who have been here for a while, but I ddin't actually create a username until I'd been checking in here for news for a longg time already. I lose.
