well that's your assignment straight up...ur teacher simplified it for you which is good. hmm let's see...there's death of a salesman...willy loman always advises his kids to make good impressions and that getting you far in life...doesn't really show how he uses that to better his own life or other peoples's...with OMAM...you have the two guys...the disabled one uses his strength to get them labor jobs but also causes problems while the mentally stable guy (george I think) helps guide Lenny in the right path...maybe you can use that, not sure. see if you have any ideas.

with the structure of the essay...obviously intro, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion...with the intro it's always good to start out with a "catcher" statement...something like...if society is to progress, it must first gather the strengths of each individual within it. something like that but...better...

hope this helped, if u have questions ask em!

Wow...big help, thanks a lot, and i appreciate all the help...i think the "if society is to progress..." statement sums up the quote, in a way, so i m ay base my introduction statement on something of the such...as for the format, yeah, thats basically all i can use on something like this, so im going with that...the three books i will probably use will be OMAM...George and Lenny...The Crucible...John Proctor...and the other one is a toss up...i was heading for Fred Douglass, but as i said before, these teachers are going to be looking for things out of the ordinary, and with Douglass, Im afraid countless othhers are going to use him

well what specifically are you looking for help on...it's impossible and illogical for any of us to give you a flat out answer on what exactly to do...all we really are here for is to give you suggestions and tell you if you need improvement in any areas.

to sum it up, each book has a certain member of society which was cast out. the quote means that we must realize that everyone in society is useful for something....

so find a quote in each book where the character is shunned, and then brings something back to the group....

maybe...i dunno

exactly. Regardless of disability or race or creed...these people can bring something to society which people often don't recognize...I wish To Kill a Mockingbird was in your reading list...it's so good.
