I can't wait. I love blink-182 and all of their side projects. But I wish they would just reunite already. :(

wow, that seems so far away. hearing this news is like a little ray of hope......it is only a far away date to keep in mind right now, but this means that the album is on its way. hoorah.
i also want blink back but i cannot make them get back together so i suppose i will just wait to see what +44 can do.

Resting Bird was the company that put out the "Riding In Vans With Boys" dvd

Resting Bird was the release place for the atticus dvd's like Dragging the Lake and i'm not sure if they released that Blink dvd w/ Kut U Up on it as well. I'm guessing that they are going to use it as a place to release cd's as well.

Blink isn't broken up anyway...

they'll get back together fairly soon. Let them be with their families/do their own things a little.

And yea, I don't think this'll be good.

They haven't even released a clip and people are going nuts for it.

They're gonna have a chick singer right? Anyone know what band she was in before? I wanna hear how she sounds.

I bet this won't be very good.
seeing as we havent heard a lick of this album yet and the dreaded electronic pseudo-postal service style they've talked about theres a good chance that is true. but im sure the money put behind this album will make it a huge hit here and everywhere else.

i don't know yet whether this would be too good, but boxcar wasn't bad..
and blink is, to my understanding done..... because apparently tom wants time with his family, because the others are off in new band(s) now.

For anyone that is a fan of blink, regardless of whether plus 44 is incredible or incredibly bad, we'll still pretend like we love it... just because it's blink.

haha so true. but is it just mark and travis this time? or is it just a mark hoppus dealio? and if tom delonge puts out a solo album it will be sweet, it seems to me he did most of the songwriting... only a couple of blink's songs are bass driven really, yet carousel, with one of the best catchy bass riffs known in punk rock is perhaps their best overall song...

Actually Plus 44 is Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and a female vocalist who's name escapes me at the moment. For anyone judging before they have even heard a CLIP, shut up and at least wait for a little taste of the music to complain. Secondly, yea, I heard Tom is putting out a solo record and THAT I am looking forward to. He did some very differnt, un-blink style, stuff on Boxcar that really makes me exciting for his release.

who knows what is going to happen with blink. i am much more excited to hear something from tom. all i know is that they are people too and have their own lives and families. blink is the band that changed my life and i will always love them, regardless of anything. i agree with the post about people loving this just because it has members of blink in it. i mean i am interested..sort of. what is meant to happen with blink, will happen. let's just hope that is mark, tom, and travis getting together, being super happy and making amazing music.

1) Marks voice is better/more tolerable than Tom's
2) This CD is supposed to sound like Postal Service/The Cure
3) This CD is going to have some cool drums on it

This CD will be good...plus they have a girl singer and the ladies seem to be getting more popular so it will be cool...just wait...all of those nay-sayers will be wrong and will end up saying "This is great!" That is unless you don't like the Postal Service or The Cure or Blink for that matter...

I just had an odd thought. Think back to The Network, the masked band that many people are certain is Green Day with some mystery member. Now, I think it is odd that blink-182 announce this break of theirs and they decide to start working on solo projects. I mean... Tom's solo project should basically be in the works around the same time as Mark's, so call me crazy, but maybe there is something up their sleeves. Resting Bird IS sort of the band's own personal record label, much like Green Day's Adeline.

I may be reading way too much into this, but Travis did mention something about a new blink-182 record in Janurary. Also, the band had been recording demos while touring their last album. Could it be possible that there is some sort of double disc in the works? Sort of like blink-182's answer to Outkast's The Love Below/Speakerboxx?

that is an interesting theory, i like it, but i just don't know if it would happen at all, even though it would be very cool.

just because songs arent bass driven doesnt mean that mark didnt write them, he can also play guitar. for most (if not all) blink songs, whoever sings the lead vocal is the primary writer of the song. of course there are exceptions where they co-wrote and only one sings the lead i.e. carousel.
