last i saw CS anthony closed w/ playing meet me in montauk by himself. luckily theres not too much to the guitar in that song, be he still had some trouble. but that didnt even matter cuz his voice is absolutely amazing and wow. but anthony in a pop punk band????? fuck that. i love his screaming.

I don't expect Anthony to really go back to screaming. He screams live still, but on cd I doubt it.

Personally, drumming is never what made Saosin for me. I mean, of course they're going to change their style.. but I think people are just looking too much into it. Just because Anthony (and I think the drummer) left doesn't mean the band's going to suck. Cove works really well with them. Did you hear the new demo? It's pretty good. I mean yeah, it isn't as good as the other Saosin stuff, but you can't expect perfection.

Yea I heard it. They got signed to Capitol and the new songs kinda reflect it. They're the same band at heart, but lost all the little things that made them special, in my opinion.

I see where you're coming from, and I can agree. It kind of dissapointed me that they went to a major so quickly. If they really wanted a major, I wish they would have just released one indie cd. But I guess they already have a big enough fan base to go to a major.

Yea that's why I'm kinda skeptical. They've been riding the success of the ep for two years, and lost the two things that made them stand out the most in the drums and vocals. They will get bigger though as they will write poppier songs for the record. I just don't think they would have gotten this far if it were this band from the beginning.
