i saw them play this live a few monthes back. I'm not a big Thrice fan, but it was a great song.

which, in turn, means you wanted to hear the song instead...therefore causing Thrice to generate more hype / pissed off fans that will forget about this when the album drops.

i saw them play this song live on saturday at the Barrie warped tour, it was a pretty great song, but it still annoys me that they would release lyrics and not the corresponding song.

Yeah, it seemed pretty obvious to me.

Not the best Thrice lyrics in my opinion, but still definitely above average.

I thnk Dustin is getting too formulaic in his writing; there is a lot of rhyme in a standard scheme and, no matter what the song, they seem to fit in one or two prime vocabulary words like their album is meant to be an SAT Verbal prep or something. The lyrics from past albums are more impressive. The best lyrics I have seen this year are from Winter Solstice. Those are truly poetic.
