yeah the cover definitely goes well with the title of the album, and being that they're from a big city (chicago), the artwork is pretty well suited

Meaning? I've heard many negative comments about this band, but none that were very descriptive. I know next-to-nothing about the Audition, what did they do that is so bad?

They kicked out their singer, their guitarist/songwriter left, they are using about 90% of the songs he wrote without permission, they lied about that whole situation, they are scummy, scummy, people, they're new stuff they have tried to wrtite as a new entity sounds just like spitalfield.

thats the short version.

the cover is pretty lame in my opinion. I don't understand how they are all against being "scene" now...I don't know....it's very...ironic.

They sound like every other victory band. Ryan sent me a sample of another song (other than the one on purevolume) and it totally sounded like a rip off of the academy is... vocal style. In my opinion the music is garbage.

when a band sounds like other bands i like, i see that as a good thing. that's the thing about the music we listen to. most people who don't listen to our kind of music would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between some bands, while we see it as simple. spitalfield is a great band. the academy is... is a great band. if a song sounds like spitalfield and the academy is..., then that's all the more reason to get excited about a band.

I'm not listening to these guys to find some breakthrough in music and something completely original, but I dig how they put everything together, but I think the final version of "You've Made Us Concious" lost that Spitalfield sound, although I do like the demo more.

its called originality and its a thing that most bands out there lack. For example, Underoath, who i think is not that bad of a band musically, but they are playing the same music everyone else is playing so I got sick of the record fast. There just not doing that much that is original. Its cool to be influenced by bands but to blatently rip them off in your songs is lame. I wish there were more bands out there who cared about the music they played rather then the money they are making or their haircuts.
