Anyone have any suggestions for some good indie bands? I am getting sick of half of the bands I have on my iPod it is all the same pop/punk/rock stuff...anyways, I am looking for more bands that are similar to Lydia, Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, The Bravery, Cold War Kids....etc. Leave me some good recommendations!
Thanks in advance.

They've just put some stuff up there that I think is a bit older and I haven't heard before, but Oh My and The Minotaur I know are off their latest CD Havilah, which I like a heap.

Cory Chisel & The Wandering Sons. Such a great group of talented musicians. Easily one of our generations greatest musicians. Check out Cory performing acoustic at Electric Lady Studios in NYC.

I hadn't heard of them, just checked them out though. They are quite cool, i swear i've heard Boys Don't Smoke somewhere before. I thought he looked a bit like Pete Doherty in your pic, turns he sounds a bit like him too lol.

highly recommend it. some of the best music i've heard in a long time. zooey and m. ward do some amazing stuff. it's got a folk/pop/indie sound. a lot of acoustic and lush vocals (amazing vocals nonetheless). splendid harmonies as well. sounds almost likely 60's pop. their single is 'why do you let me stay here,' and has a video, if you wish to check it out.
