Well I have a little bit of cash, so I'm going to pick up two CD's and I can't decide which ones to pick up. I'm basically thinking of getting Houston Calls, Lorene Drive, Emery, Yesterdays Rising, Paramore, or the new Rufio. What do you guys suggest?

Go buy it at Smartpunk, it's like $11.25 or something. It's like $13 with shipping.

What she said.
But out of your list, i would say the Houston Calls and Emery are both damn good. Or you could save your money and wait to buy The Spill Canvas. ;)

I was really hoping to go and get Emery, Lorene Drive and Houston Calls. I had about 30 bucks worth of CD's to trade in, but all they had was Emery and Yesterdays Rising, so I picked those two up. I am going to get a few more from smartpunk I guess.
I just found some MP3's from Statistics...wow. This is great, I love it.

I bought O God The Aftermath on a whim a few months ago and promptly sold it back within the week. I actually really like old Norma Jean, but the new album is just ehhh.

Get the new Rufio. It's worth it.
This thread made me check out the band Statistics. Sounds pretty good so far.

Yep, thanks for the Statistics nod, I'm definitly buying this album. Anyways, I'm not really into the Yesterdays Rising album, I think it was a little over-hyped. Emery is awesome though, why have I never heard of this band before? Studying Politics is such an awesome song.

Check out "Leave Your Name" by Statistics as well. It's just as good if not better than "Often Lie" only with more instrumentals. Both are great CDs though.

Paramore and Houston Calls from what you listed.
I'd recommend picking up Jack's Mannequin in 2-ish weeks.
and Socratic 2 weeks after Jack's.
and Cartel and Coheed 2 weeks after Socratic.
and then 3 weeks after that Thrice.
I've just planned a nice little schedule for you there.

I suggest the paramore, first off because the singer is an absolute babe and they were sweet on the warped tour I enjoyed their live show, not to mention the cd is pretty catchy. I am not the biggest fan of chick singers but she is making me change my mind with each listen. Next I'd buy the new Rufio only because its rufio and i love rufio....lol

Tell me about it, I bought that because the store I went to didn't have Houston Calls or Paramore, or any of the other ones I listed but Emery and Rufio. Yesterdays Rising is pretty terrible, theres one song that I like on it, only because the singer sounds very similar to Brandon Boyd in the song, and I'm a sucker for Incubus.

Yeah good piont, the new YR isn't very good, the first EP was awesome, but they seem to have gone downhill a bit since.
