Just saw them at Central Park for SummerStage today, and they were fucking awesome. They played 3 new songs, and they sounded damn good. For some reason, they were supposed to headline the show, but ended up playing second. The whole crowd was there to see Coheed, and as soon as they ended their set the entire place cleared out. I felt kinda bad for the other band playing after them, but fuck it Coheed is way too big to opening for some no name latin band. Great show.

i saw them yesterday at central park too.. it was awesome, first time seeing them. i lost my big styrofoam "IV" sign in the crowd, but i got another non-styrofoam one on the way out

I still remeber when i saw them at hellfest forever ago....claudio had yet to master his voice and the whole band had that on the verge of something vibe. then they played everything evil and i was in awe. can't tell how happy i am for them, cause this cd will finally give them the respect they so rightfully deserve.

i'm still worried though that it might fall short of my expectations because of the turn he's taking with his sotry. like it might go off focus. and some of it seems dumb..like "Ten Speed" is a about a 10 speed bicycle who happens to be a character in the story...

i was also at the central park show yesterday. was my 5th time seeing coheed, they were once again intense. opened with welcome home, then played the cuckoo-kachoo song (forgetting the name right now), devil in jersey city, a new song i dont know the name of, the velorium camper II: backend of forever, a favor house atlantic, in keeping secrets..., and the final cut. i dont know why anyone who was at the show is not talking about that song right now. ridiculous. lonnnnnng instrumental jamming with claudio and travis shredding and travis used one of those tubes that u make noises into and it alters the sound of the guitar, siccccck. def going to be an amazing albuum closer. sucked i didnt actually get into the stage area until devil in jersey city but i could hear the first 2 songs from the line. def worth the trip from ct for me. cant wait for the fall tour and the new cd/vinyl.

this was a discussion on cobalt and calcium... Did anyone notice on the pre order page it says disc 1 audio for the cd.. God, I hope theres a dvd with it!!!!!!!

Like I told someone in the last thread about coheed, dont worry about "ten speed" that songs rocks... It kinda reminds me of Iron Maidens "The Trooper"

with that song they have on there intro..you can almost hardcore dance to it. this new coheed cd record is going to own. they are one of the few prog-rock/emo/melodic bands i listen to..and they have all the talent in the world.
