I listen to hardcore punk, hip-hop, and whatever else sounds good. Just because I listen to one doesn't mean I can't listen to the other.

Besides, most modern music sucks. Especially the average modern punk band. (this includes new pop-punk)

And why would you be annoyed at them listening to pop? Pop-punk is what's keeping punk alive right now (unfortunately), so you should be praising the pop genre.
