"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"

This movie is the reason I fell in love with Robert Sean Leonard.

We had to watch this movie for English class in Grade 9, and I've been in love with it ever since.

Oh and it was flimed at St. Andrews, a really nice private school that I would go to if I could afford about 30 minutes North of here.

Great movie. Robin Williams definitely did a great job with it. He's definitely better doing serious roles rather than funny roles.

For everyone that loved Williams in this, I highly recommend you watch Awakenings if you haven't. Not going to lie, one of the saddest, most heartbreaking films I've ever seen, but so good.

I was definitely way too young to appreciate it when I saw this in school. I've been meaning to watch it again.
