The band was in great spirits, the crowd was...seated?, and jams were played. That set practically killed me. The end.

But you left out the best part: Jesse announced the album will be out this Summer and they will be doing a tour.

The news was already posted on the front page, so I figured everyone will see that.

But you left out the worst part: I would say about 500 people (including myself) were left out in the cold after waiting in line for hours.

I don't get why that makes someone a bitch to not play songs written ten+ years ago about something he feels absolutely nothing towards right now. He's moved on from that, emotionally and musically.

pretty close. but either way i hate when people give such a generic answer defending him like this guy did haha, they have 3 albums, its not that big a deal to thrw in some old songs, but seventy times 7 sucks, so if you go to their show looking for that song, hang yourself. that is all.

Haha. Another thing I hate is when people talk about how long it takes them to release an album.

blasphemy!

but fo rizzle, he doesn't have to play the old songs. if they don't mean anything to him, he shouldn't play them.

but that said, i've heard him say some of the songs have actually taken new meaning. so that's pretty cool.

I wish they didn't play YFW songs at all. Replace those throwaways with more songs from Deja Entendu. That would make for much better sets.

Good thing that the band tries to please all of their fans and not just you.

That is not the KevDev setlist I was hoping for.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that enjoys a balanced setlist- four from YFW, four from Deja, and seven from TDAG. That's perfect to me.

I understand people having favorite albums, but as a band that's a perfectly balanced setlist. I would hardly call Seventy Times Seven and Mix Tape 'throwaway songs'. Even if you hate YFW, to see the guys smiling and enjoying themselves, not to mention the crowd screaming Jude Law and 70x7 would change your opinion in a minute. Even if you are only a TDAG fan, there's still over half the album being played. Since college shows are a diverse mix of fans, I think it was a great setlist by the band.

Yeah, the KDev set was the same one I saw on Manchester tour. At Oneonta the night before apparently he played for two hours or so.

i dont know if id play 4, 4, 7, id like to see a little more deja than your favrite weapon, it was a bigger album and more recent, but theres no reason for them to ignore part of their career like they do so often. no band should just ignore a part of their career cause in reality that made them who they are nw

yeah kevin plays for a long fucking time haha, but he talks a lot though so its not like hes playing 30 songs or anything ridiculous

When I saw Brand New on the Fall Tour last year, they played everything from TDAG, like five from Deja, and nothing from YFW. Except, when they were going to play that untitled encore they had been doing, Jesse broke a string. So they played, 70x7, but it was totally not planned for. So they weren't gonna play any YFW songs at all. If you're getting four, be happy. Be happy that they might start playing them more.

I'd rather them play a longer set. 15 songs is nothing compared to the 20+ sets on Spring Tour 07. Colleges normally contract for 2 hours or so anyway. The set was still incredible, but an extra song or two wouldn't have killed- and I know they've played Tommy Gun and Maradona fairly recently.

They didn't let recording devices in. I don't know how strict they were but they said they were going to enforce it since the band asked.

Was yours photocopied? Mine was. My friend ended up with one as well (Jesse's) and it wasn't even the original.

Yeah, I didn't realize it was at first and was pretty pumped to have gotten a hand-written setlist. But still cool nonetheless.

NOOOO ...

What would make a better set is BN being cancelled and replaced with a good band instead.
