Haven't seen American Psycho but I love American Beauty so... Plus I have look at American Psycho a few times but it hasn't floated my boat.

i just saw american beauty a few weeks ago, and i saw american psycho sometime last year. personally, i didnt fall in love with either of them, but american beauty was just a little bit higher on my list

I saw american psycho back when it was in theatres and i hated it. I want to watch it again to see if i just didnt get it.

Tough, the lead characters are played wonderfully in both movies. I went with American Psycho because I feel it really stands on its own as the more original film.

American Beauty was filmed/acted well, but other then that it really had no redeeming value. So the obvious choice is American Psycho, although the tameness of the movie, when compared to the book, was really a let down.

fuck that, just go to Target and buy the damn thing for 13.99 (special edition)......Besides it will take you two or three viewing to full "get" the movie.

Christian Bale was the only redeeming thing about American Psycho(and he was quite amazing), but other than that i thought the film was over the top and just plain nuts(nuts in that phony masterpiece kind of way). American Beauty was a piece of art. beautifully acted. so many incredible moments that really made this film something special. every step of Sam Mendes direction was intentional and well thought out. Alan Ball is one of the most talented writers of this generation. Kevin Spacey is a god. just my opinion though.
