Slide Problem

The slide on my trombone has been sticking really badly lately. It's not dented and I put slide oil on it and stuff.

Help?

Get it cleaned. Chances are good that you have sugary saliva (the sugar content in people's spit differs- I know a kid who had to get a cavity filled in every molar because his spit had a high concentration of sugar), and it's building up on the slide, causing it to stick. Try the cleaning, then re-oil, and get at it. If that doesn't work, report back!
