That's... way better than I thought it would be. Kinda digging it. Usually I'm half and half on Lil' Wayne. I like some of his stuff, but I think he's overrated.

Pretty damn cool of him to try something like this though, and it's pretty good.

Crappy quality, but it is the first single. Album drops in April.

Lil Wayne's interesting. I like select songs off of his stuff, but to be honest I listen to more of his mixtape material than his actual album material. I was annoyed when I heard Kanye was doing an album in autotune, but it turned out decent and I actually enjoyed it, so I'm going to go into this open minded. Song is okay, I mean, not mind-blowing but I'll probably end up listening to it.
We'll see what the album brings on April 7th when it's released.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, it's like this:
I seperate music like I do any form of entertainment, there's the mindless entertainment, and then there's the actual art.
I listen to Lil Wayne, and I'm like okay, this is catchy, stimulates me.
I listen to something like The Mountain Goats, and I'm like "Wow... this is brilliant." It inspires me. It gets my mind running. It fills its purpose as art and I appreciate it on that level.

It's got somewhat of a catchy chorus, I don't know. When I said this song was okay, I didn't mean that I like it right now. I don't like it right now. But I'm sure after it plays on the radio 100 times it will be caught in my head and will end up on my jogging-playlist.
But it is a travesty to say Lil Wayne and The Mountain Goats in the same sentence, considering TMG is mindblowing art and Wayne is an entertainment gimmick, but the art of comparison calls for drastic measures.
