now every time i come to this website im going to be reminded that september 20th needs to hurry up and get here... im so excited.
2005 will easily be my favorite year of album releases ever.
MCS, TSL, Acceptance, TAI, Over it, Gratitude, Jacks Mannequin, and so many more, and this is just the super sweet icing on the cake.
I just can't wait for September 20th.
I said this accidently in the other thread. But, as much as i like Cartel I really hope this album isn't redundant. These songs so far sound the same. Which is in no means a bad thing, in some regards.....but, i hope the rest of the album shows something different. ....New Cartel is still better than no Cartel though, and I can't wait to hear more.
Oh, and Tate we hear ya, and understand why the rules are there. Ya gotta watch your own behind, buddy. Thanks for the Leak, guys. :musik010:

Like I've said many times, this is easily my CD of the year. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do, and just know that there are some really incredible songs coming up (as if these 3 aren't amazing enough)...so get excited.

I think the new stuff sounds good, but is it just me, or does Will's voice sound less "urgent" and emotional than on the EP? I mean there he soudned like he really had something to prove, but here they sound somewhat derivative. I pre-ordered already anyways, but I was hoping for a smidge more I think.

I find it kinda weird that you really are leaking the album. When I went to play the song my download program cut in and asked me to download the mp3 version of the song from the player. You guys should find a way to stop that.

i'm listening more and more and it's so great , but damn it's already on the internet...that's fucked up, i hope this doesn't has an impact on the sales, because these album deserves to be huge,

it's not because it's elementary, that it isn't good... it all comes together like it should be ,and it sounds great, every band has his own way to make music, if you can make hard playable songs that's good! but if it's simple and it sounds great what's the problem :)

If people in the ATL were half as on their nuts as people around here are, they would have been much more successful quite some time ago. Dont get me wrong, I love the EP and the songs are perfect for my gym music, but catchy pop tunes aren't ground breaking....

Just because it is simple doesn't mean it's not good. And i think this band offers a lot more than most pop/punk bands out there.

This is an album that is worth buying because it has replayability. Like the EP I can see myself adding songs to various mixes or just playing straight through windows down on the highway. It's the ocean avenue of this summer (if only it came out earlier).

Trust me when I say I LOVE this band, but Over Its "sirens on the 101" was the Ocean AVe of 2005 :thumbsup:

From the first three songs I've heard, I've been dissapointed. Yes, they are all catchy, but there's just something that's slightly boring about them. This is coming from a person who enjoyed "The Ransom" ep, also. I just think that if I want a perfect pop punk cd, I can just listen to Relient K's "Mmmhmm." Not every song sounds so similar on that cd, but then again this is all just my opinion.

This vocalist reminds me of the singer of yellowcard but with a mellow voice especially on ''runaway''. The lyrics aren't anything groundbreakign coming from a pop punk genre and it's nothing new.

just wait.....these three songs are by far the most generic on the cd....besides, chroma is to be taken as an album not just 3 songs at a time....keep checking back to hear the rest....it diversifies greatly after these 3 songs....
p.s....for anyone who's heard it...you'll know. just wait til you hear the last 3 songs...if you say chroma is generic after that...especially all the tracks you get through to get to it....you must be deaf or mental because it's unlike anything any other band in their genre has done and speaks volumes about where this band will be in a few years....just wait.......

The singer looks like that one Backstreet Boy and the other guy looks like a cross between Jack Black and Benicio del Toro.

My expectations are WAY to high for this album, so i'm just gonna take it as it is. And as of now it's some damn good pop-punk...and i love that!
But i'm sorry guys...come sept. 20th, cartel is gonna get killed by coheed. It's unfortunate, yes, but at the same time awesome.

Autotune wasn't used on the album minus a few small places for background vocals. The rest is Will raw.

ive never seen them live, but you could tell by the demos his voice was amazing...upon the 1st few listens for me this far and away the best pop-punk album of the year

just gave itt a good listen through...IT IS FUCKIN AMAZING...one of the best albums i have ever heard....the last few songs will absolutely blow your ass away whether you like pop punk or not. minstrels prayer is so fucking good...im so happy this shit finally dropped...pick this shit up!!!!!!

Last night he sang the last note of the set (of Luckie St.) out of tune just to prove he's fallable I guess.
