I'm glad Hugh won, but when will MCH ever win anything?

narcoleptic953
01/25/09, 05:45 PM
Why is Slumdog Millionaire even up for the ensemble cast award? The cast was the weakest part of that movie.

james earl jones is the man.

i enjoyed the movie but never watched the show. is it any good?

I think so. In my opinion, it's the best show on TV right now. Just hope it comes back.

Friday nights on NBC. It's in it's third season now. Season three aired on DirecTV earlier last year and is now broadcasting on NBC.

01/25/09, 07:04 PM
I guess they just want to give Slumdog Millionaire everything this awards season. Weakest ensemble cast of the bunch, in my opinion. Probably should have been Milk, or maybe Frost/Nixon.

Ailite
01/25/09, 07:08 PM
I think everyone deserved that more than Slumdog Millionaire

terrycw89
01/25/09, 07:13 PM
I really thought Doubt was going to win. Much smaller cast and everyone did a great job.

GiggsOho
01/25/09, 07:13 PM
I'm no expert on the SAGs but if it basically is supposed to amount to a "Best Picture" what was everyone expecting?

Adeniz19
01/25/09, 07:19 PM
i'm not exactly sure if slumdog really deserves a "best cast" award, not that the performances weren't great or anything, but i didn't find the acting to be the thing that made slumdog stand out as one of the better films of the year. oh well, i haven't really been in to the award season this year anyway.

gloriousmuse
01/25/09, 07:31 PM
Anything but Slumdog should have won Best Ensemble. As Adeniz19 said, the acting wasn't that amazing compared to Milk or Doubt.

drudo182
01/25/09, 08:10 PM
I'm a bit surprised Slumdog won cast too.... Oh, well.

narcoleptic953

Exactly what I was thinking. The acting was what made the other films work. It was pretty much everything but the acting that made Slumdog work.
