What are some of the songs that have really influenced your taste in music. For example, maybe back in the day when u were really young, you really like rap/r&b, and then u heard a song like "Walk this way" by Aerosmith and Run DMC, and it opened ure ears to rock music, and a couple years down the road, before u know it, ure only listening to classic rock or something. My song is Brand New "welcome to bangkok". when i first heard that song, it sounded like nothing i had heard before. It was so loud, chaotic and distorted. That song introduced me to other loud and distorted bands like, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and all the other shoegazing/lots of guitar disortion bands of the 80's and 90's, up to current bands like Autolux, and Silversun Pickups. I am so happy brand new made that song, and opened my ears to new genres of music.

I already had this thread in the general section, but put it there on accident. meant to put it in the music section, so here it is!!

I thought you meant influential as in like "Eye of the Tiger". But Comeback Kid's "Wake the Dead" and Glassjaw's "Tip Your Bartender" really just changed my whole outlook on music, especially since I was in sixth grade. That's when I stopped listening to bands like Avenged Sevenfold and The Killers and eventually worked my way to some lesser known bands.
