Recording with a four track...

Okay, if this sounds stupid then oh well, haha.

If I were to buy a four track recorder, is there any way that you can get the audio files and put them onto cds or a computer? Even if its a casette one, is there a way to put them on a computer at all?

Depends on the recorder. If it's a digital recorder then it's likely you can USB/Firewire the recorder to the computer and pick up the files off there or burn a CD with the tracks and transfer files.

If it's a cassette recorder then you might have to do it manually. Make a connection for the line in on your computer with a 1/4" Jack input. Then use a guitar lead from the mixer to the computer and record each track through software on the computer. You'll loose sound quality though.
