Okay this will be fun for the people here who still play high school football here...
We can discuss everything about our seasons here, for example:

Who's started practicing already, How long you practice for, How your coaches suck dick (okay maybe thats just me), and during the season we can discuss how our teams are doing....and stuff. Yeah, it'll be fun.

I miss high school football games. :( It was good times.

Our football team was really good. We won 7 league championships in a row. They even went to the finals for state the year before I got to the high school. They lost their coach a couple years ago though and since then they've just been so so.

My school's team was good back in the 70's when we had about 1700 kids in the school (compared to just over 800 now) and in the 80's when Daryl Johnston (Dallas Cowboys Fullback during their Super Bowl days) went here, but from '90-'01 we were an absolute joke. In '02 we went to the Consolation Playoffs, in '03 and '04 we went to the State Sectional Championships at Ralph Wilson Stadium (Buffalo Bills), and this year we're going to have only 2 starters returning on both sides of the ball, and its the same 2 kids. We're just hoping for a decent year, just making the playoffs would be good enough to hold our tradition.....

Buh. I grew up in Canton, Ohio.

The only thing to do there on Friday nights is to go see any one of 57849705 high school football games going on in the county. I'm pretty sure home game attendance was well over 2,000 on average for every team in the damn county.

yup, but we're still a basketball state. hackensack is good sometimes too...also Jackson and Middletown South

he's definitely one of the top recruits in the country, I just read an article on Myron Rolle no more than a month ago in ESPN the Magazine.

Don Bosco is fuckin beast at football. They're our brother school's (Delbarton) rival and their games are always so intense.

I also like how it seems like Jersey kinda took over this thread.

haha... all 4 years i was in highschool the varsity fb team won 3 games. my sophmore year they won a game agaisnt the worst team in the state and everyone charged the field. my junior year they went 0-10 and scored a total of 9 points. 9 points. they had more losses than points scored the entire season. and my senior i think they scored 15 points.... and went 0-10 again. go barons.

Our 2-a-days just ended this past saturday, we should have a pretty good team this year, depending on how many kids get suspended because of alcohol (a few kids did some stupid things to mess up our team last year)
Lucky for you, we've had 2-a-days every day except Sunday since the 15th and our last one is next Tuesday.

my highschool is(was) pretty good at football, last year our team was great, we went to the semi-finals and lost because we had to tie it with 30 seconds left, or take it all...and the coach wanted to go for it...we lost. this year we aren't going to be too good cause most people left. we have one good kid(by good i mean fucking amazing) named christian haywood who's the running back. expect to see him next year going somewhere huge.

my best friend goes to the other highschool in our city and they have an amazing team this year(they went 9-0 freshman team last year) and i'll probably be watching them more than my school. they're gonna be pretty fucking good

Let me be the first to break this open.... Last night our team got analy dominated 6-42. We travled like an hour and a half to see our team get stomped by the power house of our confrence. What was worse is that before each game we tailgate, and a couple of my friends were trashed and the cops found their bottles and they were arrested... so last night sucked.

I had my scrimmage today, it was a 4-way scrimmage. it was cool until i got stepped on near the end.

I know have a cleat mark on my hip/love handle area. It fucking HURTS.

we lost 13-0 to a team we should have beat. maybe if the head coach's ego didn't get in the way he would have called the plays better.

same here but our coach sucks so hard he doesnt have an ego, we lost by seven heres the call of the game 7 minutes left and its 3 and 15...lets go to the air. NO we run a fucking option, and lose ten more yards kick the ball we lose.

See my coach is 31 years old, was our offensive coordinator for 3 years, moved up to head coach last year, and took us to the sectional finals (our school's 2nd year in a row, but before that last time we were there was 1983.) so now, because the offense he coaches (and the IMMENSE talent we had there) rolled for 4 years straight, he thinks he's amazing. this year, when he actually has to COACH the team, he's not gonna get the job done. too bad it's gonna ruin my senior season.
Im a juinor, we have a huge cheering section but all our seniors suck. im talking about the senior fans. they are so lame, i really think a solid crowd can help a team. Also our athletic director is the biggest retard, he fired our coach of two years last year, the first year he took us to our first ever playoff win and took us to the state semis, last year wasnt so good. But our old coach was money, our new coach sucks, we run a wishbone offense. Our team is so small that putting eleven players on the line is inane. we just get plowed over....also we have one of the best quaterbacks in the state, but hes like butt buddies with one of the wide recivers so he is the only person he throws to which doesnt help.

back in the day 5 years ago i played high school football and we were really good, but I have no idea if we are good anymore. we send a kid to a D1 school every year though and that one kid got kicked out this year for smoking pot and now he's gonna go and play TE at UVa. I played college football for 2 years but had to quit which was depressing.

that's cool. i'm all the way on the other side of NY, near Niagara Falls, in Section VI....we're probably one of the worst in the state as far as putting out Division I prospects.

yeah i have good friends playing at Stanford and Penn State playing right now and a bunch of kids in DI-AA and D3 schools. i played for Hofstra freshman and sophmore year but had to hang up the cleets becuase of a recurring shoulder injury there was a good chance I would've started or had big playing time my jr and sr year too. Long Island is pretty good as per D1 prospects. We usually have at least 6-8 kids go every year.
