Let's face it. We all loved Nickelodeon as children, whether or not you had cable you probably loved watching cartoons at your friends' houses to catch the latest episode of Rocko, or Ahhh! Real Monsters, or Doug, etc.

Last month sometime someone on here told me how Rocko (among others) were available on Amazon to order.. So I of course ordered Rocko's Modern Life, it being one of my favorite 'toons as a kid. Now Nickelodeon sucks, except for sometimes the exception of Drake & Josh. I'm lame, ok?..

What shows do you miss? Did you know my uncle hosted two of their game shows? Well, did you?

Anyway. I got the DVDs in the mail today, and scanned the cover to make a new desktop background for myself-- so, after plenty of editing, here's a Rocko background for those other fans! haha..

I think the difference between Nick then and now is that back when we were kids MTV made shows for us that made us feel more grown up with deeper subject matter and now kids just watch actual mind-numbing trash.

As I think about this I keep wishing that I was 6 or 7 and in my underwear, sitting on the couch while I eat some sugary cereal watching some cartoons. Then I realize that I still do that, only I'm older and watching my third cycle of Sportscenter. Fuck.
