View Full Version : The catchiest song ever?

I just happened to hear a very (very) catchy song by this upcoming British rock band called 51/50s (http://5150smusic.com) and thought that it would be fun to make a forum about the catchiest rock songs ever. You know, those songs which get stuck in your mind with the repeat button pressed down and broken, don't you?
Anyway, would be cool if you can put a link to your recommendation also (full stream preferably).
My nomination for the catchiest song ever: 51/50s - Lies (listen on Last.fm (http://www.last.fm/music/51%252F50s/_/Lies?autostart))

Honestly, if you like this song.
You'll love "There's no "I" in team, by Taking Back Sunday.
The bassist/Guitarist (I can't remember which one) and Jesse Lacey (Brand New) used to be best friends.
Until Jesse's girlfriend cheated on him with the bassist/guitarist from TBS.
They had a phone conversation, and the lyrics of both the songs were the words said in that conversation.
If you noticed, some of the lyrics are the same.
A friend of mine, whom is a very big fan of Brand New, told me that story a while back.

I think everyone knows this story, and they are friends again now. It was John Nolan who was the guitarist for TBS for their first CD. I just thought Nolan stole the lyrics from Brand New's song. Either way it's probably only half true. And seventy times seven is the better song.

Same can be said for most Michael Jackson songs and September, Shining Star, and a lot of other Earth, Wind, and Fire songs. Haha. Just try not to boogie. I'm not even into parties, but if i happened to be at one and something came on by one of the two aforementioned artists I'd definitely dance.
